It needs updating with more diversity, but it's a sweet story of a little girl whose sea captain dad brings her dolls from abroad; then she gets a surprise. Falling behind on #Riotgrams! Day 11: #favoritechildrensbook I love children's books, so choosing one was not easy. I owe my love of historical fiction to the Little House series.

My favorite children's book isn't in the horror genre, but it's the first book that gave me the titillation that comes with being so scared, but wanting, NEEDING to keep turning the pages. So began my love affair with the macabre. I still love that feeling. I love MANY children's books, but I've been in a Harry Potter re-read (alongside my son) in recent months, so this is the top one on my mind. Also, I just started this podcast this weekend.
