Book 3 in the Fever series completed! I forgot about the cliffhanger at the end of this one! 😳😱😰
This is my comfort series! I‘m telling you, every book gets better and better! KMM‘s world building is TOP NOTCH. She doesn‘t info-dump; instead we learn with Mac (usually right smack in the middle of all the action) and damn does she make her work for it! It makes for a very compelling read. I‘m usually not a fan of the slow burn romance, but FECK the chemistry between Mac and Barrons is HOT. Karen loves to tease us, doesn‘t she? 🥲
I first read this series in 2012 and I forgot how much of a slow burn it is, and how much I adore it! Easily, one of the best Urban Fantasy series I‘ve read. And it only gets better with each book. Mac‘s voice is quirky and easy to follow; the plot intriguing enough to keep you turning the pages! #reread #urbanfantasy #feverseries
"Don't accuse me of being morbid when I'm merely the product of a culture that buries the bones of the ones they love in pretty, manicured flower gardens so they can keep them nearby and go talk to them whenever they feel troubled or depressed. That's morbid." One of us is much more excited about the outcome of this monster murder mystery than the other. Yay for lazy Saturdays following late Fridays!
Rereading the first book of a fantasy romance series in hopes I will get inspired to restart: I‘ve got Burned in one of my book piles somewhere. Taking the ferry home
Jan1 #BeginsWith Dream I actually added this series to my list of books and new authors I want to tackle this year #ReadingPhotoChalange @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
I did a reread and finally finished off my favourite series this past year.

I love books, by the way, way more than movies. Movies tell you what to think. A good book lets you choose a few thoughts for yourself. Movies show you the pink house. A good book tells you there‘s a pink house and lets you paint some of the finishing touches, maybe choose the roof style, park your own car out front. My imagination has always topped anything a movie could come up with.
