I've never read a western before and gotta say it took a while to get used to how it was written, but I fell into it! Really very great story about vegeance and redemption. There are some pretty dark moments and it's brutal at times, but I imagine the West had to be. Also, love this cover!

night_shift Read for: #betterworldbookschallenge (young adult, red based on cover), #popsugar2017 (set in wilderness), & #litsyreadingchallenge2017 (judge by a cover). 8y

#FirstReadof2017! I finished this lovely audiobook on my lunch break and immediately grabbed the second one. The production was excellent and the story was good too. We follow Miri as she finds her place in her community, and it's lovely to start the year with a book that celebrates friendship.

myers85 I've got this on my kindle and I plan to read it this year. I enjoyed The Da Vinci Code but hated Inferno. Hopefully I'll like this one. 8y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag This is the only Dan Brown book I've read. Once I got the image of Tom Hanks as Robert out of my mind - it was quite good. I read it on holidays so it was cool seeing the places mentioned in the book. 8y
IndianBookworm @myers85 That's great! I am sure you will love this. Do share your experience while reading this.🎈 8y

vivastory Are you going to watch the movie? I have been wanting to read Hornby's stories ever since I read one in a McSweeney anthology featuring a VCR that can predict the future. 8y
saresmoore I love Steve Miller Band! Haven't read the book yet, though. 🙃 8y
