This is a terrific read about #historicalheroine Cynthia Ann Parker. I've done a lot of research on the Parkers having heard as a young girl that my Parker side of the family were related. As a lifelong genealogist I set out to prove it true or false. Turns out we are related to Quanah Parker not by blood but by marriage in a most convoluted way. So probably not what the family had expected. #feistyfeb

Texreader @ValerieAndBooks I guess you are right. All the folks who told me those stories had passed by the time I solved the puzzle. Maybe a good thing though. It was an honor for them to think of that connection in the way they did. 7y
Texreader @Laura317 The Parker families have a lot of neat histories, related or not! I've loved learning my Parker history! Many many generations of Baptist preachers--came to an end with my grandpa who had no desire. But no wonder I love to talk so much. 7y
