Some other books for inspiration... 😁
Reading has been going a little slowly for me recently. Partly because I have been spending time doing more art. I have been doing some basic letters. Can't wait to get into the more intricate designs in this book. 😁
Medieval art is my jam. Found this beauty today.
I've always had a fascination for illuminated manuscripts, whether Italian biblical designs, dark ages scrawls or stylised Russian iconography. I just think there's something peaceful and rich about them.

^^Book I wish I had. A friend from my daughters dance class brought this to me tonight- a few weeks ago I had mentioned how I love calligraphy, but no longer have the pens and they are hard for me to find. She was cleaning her mothers craft supplies and came across this, and gave it to me. I am really touched that she remembered and thought of me when she has so much else going on.
As part of a SCALA library tour, we visited the Spencer Library at KU. They showed us this lovely illuminated text from the Middle Ages. #rarebooks #archives #illuminated
My #LitsyPartyOfOne part 2! This book is entirely to #blameonlitsy and if I remember correctly on @elkeo 😊A hot cup of tea, hot water bottle and a wonderfully #illustrated, or rather #illuminated book on a Friday night - what a bliss on a chilly evening ☺️
