Spotted this while doing some social media for the library and knew I needed to read it. It felt highly accessible for all audiences. I loved the layout, and the side quests giving shout-outs to even more women in gaming. This inclusive book is informative and does a great job looking at women who had many different impacts on gaming. I learned a lot and it really sparked my imagination. #Gaming #Feminist #Inclusive #VideoGames

A thoroughly charming, inclusive picture book following a dad and daughter pair through their hangout day. They just get to be themselves and enjoy each other‘s company. #Picturebook #Inclusive #Family

Enlightening upon ptsd responses and how they follow an 8-grader having been violently assaulted because of her orna while with an Iranian fried. It tried to explain her family's opposition to her wearing a hijab instead and desire to connect to Islam, yet that felt disconnected. I didn‘t understand why she went from orna to hijab. Same with families Bangladesh tragic history. Many portions confused me, history wise. Colorful emotions #inclusive

I would use this book in my classroom to introduce colors and acceptance. The book starts out with two characters. One character is yellow and the other one is blue. At first, these two characters are only familiar with their colors. However, as the book progresses, new characters with new colors are introduced. The green character thinks he can only play with other green characters. But he soon learns that he can play with everyone.

This book uses color to coney meaning. Each page in the book shows a new color. It starts out with blue and yellow, and as the book goes on all the colors are introduced.

This book helps to send the message to children that everyone belongs! That there are not specific qualities that one must possess in order to fit into the world in which they live. It puts no parameters on what a child is capable of being and or becoming.
