CA writes historical fiction, this story is set in the summer of 1939 in the Côte d‘Azure at the inaugural Cannes Film Festival. It‘s exciting and informative. I like CA best when she is retelling history, when she is just telling a story it always feels rushed. I don‘t know why she can‘t just take her time with her part of the story ( I live for the day I finish Lark Rise to Boredom) #sundaybuddyread

A "Something Wicked This Way Comes" post reminded me how much I like "kids on bikes vs. supernatural evil" books. I've read "It", of course, "Summer of Night", "Boy's Life", "Shadowshow" by Brad Strickland, and Thomas Tessier's "Phantom". I'm also familiar with (but haven't read) Brain Keene's "Ghoul". Anyone know of any more I can add to this list?

pan971 pages. It is an almost bail. While intriguing for a bit less than a half, I soon found myself flipping through pages without much interest. I might have had huge expectations for the book. I wanted horrors and this... was just misterious. Good writing but somewhat dissappointing plot.
