IndoorDame I do think her mom was trying to get the picture back. Coming from a family where secrets are also the norm my guess is it never occurred to mom to share something she‘d kept to herself all these years 4mo

AmyG Ha, if Mom told Celine where the painting was there wouldn‘t be much of a story. Who knows why people do what they do? I just hope she is able to find it. I wonder if her finding it, selling it and becoming very rich….does she give Gil $6 million and become part owner??? That was stuck in my head. 4mo

Librarybelle We‘ve heard too much about the dovecote, so something has to be there. As others have said, there are so many secrets in this family…lots of trauma, so maybe they felt like they could not divulge everything??? 4mo

DebinHawaii I am leaning to the dovecote too. It did seem like the mother & even Ondine were very forthcoming about anything—lots of family secrets & trauma for sure. 4mo

mollyrotondo I‘m very behind after going on vacation 🙈 but I also suspect it‘s in the dovecot. Celine‘s secrecy annoys me more than Ondine or Julie‘s secrets. Just tell your aunt. I know she eventually does but she still acts cagey with her aunt each time she learns something. I liked the museum part where the aunt keeps reminding everyone what an ass Picasso was to the women in his life. 3mo
