The Kennedy obsession continues! And if I had not started watching The Crown on Netflix, I might not want to know more about Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip .But now I do!😀🙄2 dollars each in a Library bookstore.

Mccall0113 I loved the crown! 1mo
Eggs You must be my book twin for I have the same obsessions: jfk assassination, QE2/Philip (and Titanic too) 🤗 1mo

#24B42020 readathon 1st book finished. As time marches on the Kennedy obsession might be fading , but I enjoyed this book very much. When Bobby was killed on the campaign trail in 68‘ Ethel was pregnant with their 11th(!) child,Rory.Ethel is 91 & still the matriarch. As expected, the kids have their fair share of triumph & tragedy. When Joe Kennedy III gave his 2 minute speech at the end of the impeachment hearings,Grandad Bobby would have been proud.

Andrew65 Sounds interesting. 👏👏👏 1mo
Amiable I am old enough to still have a bit of the Kennedy obsession—stacking! 1mo

I‘ve had this collection of holiday stories for several years but haven‘t taken the time to go through and read like I have this year for #WinterGames. It‘s such a lovely collection. #TeamNutcracker #HolidayReads

This fun 2019 Goodreads reading stat had me looking back to the publishing dates of both books, and I‘m compelled to give Jackie another shout out. Although it was published in 2011, I read it this year and rated it an A with 4.75 stars. It‘s an interesting read - imagine Jackie O as your editor! ... Did y‘all find interest in your stat like this?

marleed I‘ve only read 4 out of 239 books in 2019 in which I‘ve given less than a 3 Stars, meh, C rating. Were any of those 4 my least popular? Nooooo. 1mo
Scochrane26 My least popular is one by a local writer. Not that many people know about it. Think I gave it a 3 star rating. 1mo
marleed @Scochrane26 Maybe in 2020 I‘ll try to guess what my most unread book will be. Now I‘m curious what the reading count of JaE was in 2011. And boy E&P sure have staying power as that published in 2013! I find it particularly interesting since this year I concentrated on newly published books and none of those were more read than E&P! 1mo

Scochrane26 I‘m sure E&P has stayed popular because Rainbow Rowell has become a more well-known author since then. There‘s always new youth finding books. 1mo
Scochrane26 My most popular is HP sorcerer‘s stone. Highest rated is HP 3. I had looked earlier because I thought She Said might be the highest rated. 1mo
marleed @Scochrane26 I gave She Said my 5* rating because it‘s such an important book. I read as a library loan and decided I must purchase anew in support of research journalists. 1mo
Scochrane26 I just finished it & also gave it 5 stars. It‘s average in GR is 4.45, which is really high for GR. PoA average is 4.56. 1mo

Mehso-so

Knowing very little about Jackie Kennedy and even less so about her sister, I came to this read with big expectations. Unfortunately they were met with a simmer and not the sizzle I was hoping for. I didn‘t particularly care for the name dropping littered throughout the book. I understand that‘s what made them darlings of high society but if anything it was distracting. Interesting at points its an insight into a world I‘ll probably never know.
