Your Story, My Story | Connie Palmen

Mehso-so

It was always going to have a hard sell wasn‘t it, Sylvia and Ted‘s story from Ted‘s perspective.
This story and dialogue did not feel like Ted‘s voice. Also, it‘s written from an old age view looking back when Ted would have known a lot more about mental health issues, but this is not really recognised.
It‘s just about a so-so because some sections are ok.
But generally I don‘t recommend.

JennyM I don‘t think I could read it. I suspect it would make me even more cranky at Mr Hughes! 4y
TrishB @JennyM don‘t bother Jenny, it‘s not good. Left with a bitter taste in my mouth, we seem to be entering the Sylvia was a witch period in writings. 4y
LeahBergen Thanks for the review! I‘ll pass. 😬 (edited) 4y

Caroline2 Yeah. I‘m not keen on Ted so this was always gonna be tough. Not sure I really wanna hear about Sylvia from his perspective to be honest. 😒 4y

Pickpick

This is definitely not my normal type of read but on occasion I do enjoy a marriage/family type novel. This felt pretty solid, I got a little bored mid way through but the pacing and tension building wasn't too bad and shortly after the action started! #KindleFirstRead
