Only on page 23 and the beauty of this book stuns me. AlthoughI spent a summer in Alaska 15 yrs after the setting of this novel, the fact that they moved to Homer has brought back so many memories. My brother lived & worked on the opposite end of Homer on the Kenai Peninsula. Visited there frequently.❤️❤️

Kimberlone @EadieB the winter is beautiful in a different way from the summer. If you get the opportunity I recommend people try to come during both seasons. Family members who have visited during both times have said the winter was even better 5y

kspenmoll @Andrew65 He lives on the Kenai Peninsula. When I was there ( a whole summer; lucky me) it was wilderness. Only restaurant in a women‘s home; just dinner. Mom & Pop grocery, video store. Gas. His office, some homes, some other small businesses. He was a lawyer of all trades; filled in as Judge. Anchorage 3 hour drive when road not closed by snow. Otherwise small plane. 5y

Kimberlone I have this on my kindle and would love to join in but the daily read might be too speedy for me. I live in Alaska and have been looking forward to reading this since it came out to see how it lives up to my own experience 5y

Decide & try & join in this #buddyread. Ambitious for given it is a daily, not weekly read, but as I am not working thought I would give it a go. Plus love reading along with these Littens! This book was an unexpected gift from the generous, lovely @UwannaPublishme ,the fearless Donna.❤️ My brother has lived in Alaska since the 80‘s, I visited in ‘89. So it is a must read!

I'm still not finished, but this book is amazing. My local librarian suggested this book to me blindly without knowing what my taste was, and she was spot on. It's a quick read, and keeps you interested and hanging on for more. Definite recommendation.
