This is, in my opinion, Erich Segal's best novel—even better than Love Story, which is the book most people know him by.

Anyway, it's been years since I last read this book (I read it quite a few times when I was younger and wanted to be a medical doctor), but I figured a book about medical school must have mentioned a #cadaver in it somewhere. 😁

Another surreal G.N. Yang read that conveys a lot about social and familial pressures. A young man works through grief complicated by his father‘s expectations about his future as a doctor which conflicts with his love of gaming. I wouldn‘t say I loved this, but I didn‘t dislike it either. It was interesting, and I liked the coloring style. #comic #AAPI

Love the video game format as a narrative framework. And the emphasis on not knowing what you want to do with your life when you're a new adult, letting go of others' expectations, and trying multiple options to see what works! Another hit by Gene Luen Yang!
