I'm falling behind on reviews again. 🤦‍♀️

I've found myself lately bouncing between hard copy, digital, and audiobooks. (The above image is just a few of the things I'm reading in my phone at the moment)

I've been almost gorging myself on books, I think as an escape from the horrors of the real world right now. Probably not the healthiest way of coping, but certainly far from the worst. 🤷‍♀️

Hoping to get organized and review a few soon!

Great reading while you are on vacation! This was light and cute and easy. There were a few things that felt weird based on my experience travelling in Italy (you can‘t get to Pompeii from Rome that quickly…) but I‘m willing to suspend disbelief for some murder froth.

....do you see yourself as one of those engaging but unlikely gentlemen who appear in detective fiction? Really, William, aren't you just a little vain?"

I so enjoyed this book! It was perfectly paced and infinitely readable. As soon as I was done, I went out and bought the next book in the series! A fun summer read that kept me guessing until the end.

PurpleyPumpkin @MemoirsForMe It really is a great reading spot. Now that the mosquitoes have all but disappeared, I‘m hoping to do a lot of fall reading out there!🤞🏽 1mo

Disappointing in places but overall a fun escape. Everyone in My Family has Killed Someone vibes.

Reminded me of "Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone" - unreliable narrator and fourth wall breaks.

The mystery was not only who is killing and why, but also who is the intended victim.

First book in the Vacation Mysteries series.

This book has Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone vibes, with an unreliable narrator who is a mystery author and constantly breaks the 4th wall. We know Eleanor is untrustworthy because she reminds us of that frequently. It was a nice, light, entertaining night listen.

Stumbled upon this and it‘s too good not to share.

I cannot fully express how much I detested this book. Everything about it was ridiculous, from the structure to the conclusion. The constant breaking of the fourth wall wasn‘t clever. It was annoying. The audiobook narrator‘s voices for various characters, and her inability to keep them consistent, didn‘t help. This is apparently going to be a series. I will not be reading more.

Hooked_on_books Oof. I really wonder how bad books get to be series. That shouldn‘t happen. Cute cover, though. 12mo
DGRachel @Hooked_on_books It is a cute cover and the overall ratings aren‘t bad. It just didn‘t work for me (and I thought it was dreadful 🤷🏻‍♀️) 12mo

Not my style of book but a fun plot with fun characters, and an engaging read.
