Enjoying Mexican hot chocolate in my new mug and a few pages of this book before school this morning! Thirteen year old Eddie is volunteering at the Silver Brook retirement home for a community service project.

Daisey Finished this today. There aren‘t many middle grade books set at retirement homes with multiple elderly characters. While volunteering as part of his Bar Mitzvah requirements, Eddie learns a bit more Holocaust history and learns to appreciate the residents there, as well as solving a mystery. It was a light pick for me. (edited) 1y

The book and coffee are perfect, and I can‘t wait to try the candy. And the mug is absolutely wonderful. I‘ve started collecting mugs for different seasons, and this past holiday season I realized I had no winter/holiday mug. ⬇️
