Riveted_Reader_Melissa @jpmcwisemorgan I took a background picture from Vanillapen and save the background as a picture, then I open the picture in TextonPS or TextonPhoto to add my text. Both apps have free versions to try, TextonPhoto just gives you many more fonts and sizing options for them than VanillaPen which is why I don't just add the text in that app. 8y

Librariana It didn't, @Riveted_Reader_Melissa 😭 It's safe to say I failed miserably. I had good intentions, I think... but I was overly ambitious 😔 I don't wanna blame it on the Trump slump... but I'm gonna. And we had family visiting, so it was tricky to squeeze in reading time. I read 3 of the books in my stacks and am still working on a 4th. I realized I'm a mood reader. I ended up reading one more that wasn't even originally on my TBR! 8y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa @librariana Yes! Me too, if it wasn't for the audiobooks (while I was driving anyway), or the short comics I don't think I would have gotten anywhere. The only real book I read I started in Oct and finished before Election Day, after that it was all picture books and short stories! And I'm totally blaming Trump, LOL! 8y

#TBRTuesday Still working on this list I made for #NaNoReadMo, and I am so glad I included a bunch of comics and short stories so I can feel accomplished, even when my reading is actually more sporadic this month. Right now I'm reading A Visit From the Goon Squad and I'm going to head back to Hard Choices and see if I can finish those up this month yet. So about one more week, and then it's time for a whole new list...whoo hoo📚📚

So the second week in November was technically last week... but I'd like to ask for a do-over 💙

My #nanoreadmo progress took a bit of a hit after Tuesday, but I am determined to revisit my goals, make some adjustments, and keep going!

With family visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday next week, I don't know what my reading opportunities will look like, but I plan to keep nanoreadmo-ing into December 😊

#TBRTuesday and halfway through my #NaNoReadMo, it is slow going on the in-depth reading this month (way too many distractions for me), but I've been able to check off a bunch of short stories and comics from my list...and currently working on the Walking Dead Compendium, Rey of Hope, and All the Single Ladies. I had to put down Hard Choices for a bit, I'm hoping to buck up and get back to it and wrap it up yet this month, we'll see.

GeekGrl82 Lamb will make you laugh do hard! Underground Railroad is one of my favorites of this year, and Station Eleven one of my favorites of last year. 8y

Matilda In The Country We Love is in top 5 of my favorite 2016 books 💙 and that's a great list! 8y

I'm sure I'll check it out another time, but I just wasn't in the mood for deeply emotional reading at the moment. 8y

It occurred to me today that I posted this picture at the beginning of this month, and yesterday marked 1/3 of the way through this #NaNoReadMo already. I've managed to tick off a bunch of short stories, a few comics, and an audiobook. Hopefully the rest of November will calm down enough for me to settle into a book or two yet this month.
