pickI bought this some time last year but never got around to reading it. I decided I wanted to read it last night on #InternationalWomensDay but then my own two females, aged 4 and 6, decided to exercise their right to be terrors and I ran out of energy.
As for the book: smart and sarcastic. My only complaint is that I wish it had been longer. I kind of hope JF does one of those bio compilations that are popular now with sarcasm in graphic form.
Currently in a graphic novel sort of mood! 😊 it‘s going to be a fun Saturday for me! ☕️ 📖

Probably one of the funniest little books I've ever read. Feminist satire in graphic novel format. Need I say more?
This book is hilarious! I alternate between being disgusted at some of history's male geniuses and laughing my head off at the author's wit. So good if you need a palate cleanser. #LitsyPartyOfOne

About how mainly white men achievements have been highlighted and lauded.... Let's be unequivocal in praising the achievements of either gender

pickI've seen several other posts about this book, so I had to read it myself. Funny in a very sarcastic way, with just enough hints of information to make me want to learn more about some of the lesser known women mentioned.
pickWith a dose of sarcasm, a little bit of truth, and a dash of humor - Jacky Fleming created a fantastic book. Definitely has me looking up women to be inspired by.

It's a tongue in cheek explanation why women are so absent in our history books.
Times certainly have changed, but we as feminist are still fighting with the remnants of very old sentiments about what women's role is in society is supposed to be and what we are capable of and worth.

You know when your brain makes odd, but completely funny and accurate connections... I'm reading this funny satire...and with this picture popped into my head a certain quote by Madeleine Albright, which I hated at the time regarding the election, but it popped into my head with this picture as so true, "there‘s a special place in hell for women who don‘t help each other.”

Hmmmm... could this be the earliest version of women's dress (or in this case the whole women herself) being too distracting to the male students so her body must be hidden so as not to interfere with THEIR education. (Sorry, can you tell I've had discussions about girls being sent home to change because they clothes weren't appropriate for school and too distracting for boys?)
Why "medically" women shouldn't write.

I checked out this dark satire woman's history cartoon book from hoopla and I'm so glad I did. The His-Story in this one seems very timely at the moment! Plus it's funny.
