Despite all the celebrating December has been a great reading month...this month I‘ve travelled the US sampling great food & culture, cracked a classic, discovered I‘m not keen on vampires, but quite like witches and silkies! I‘ve walked the streets of New York and caught up on my soap operas in space!

Mitch @Ruthiella they‘re really fun...good to read when you‘ve just come out of something long & epic and need a breath of air! 5y

I‘m going to read #onenonfictionbookamonth this year. Now I‘m looking for great non fiction in seeing it everywhere! This jumped out at me at the store today and I‘m going to start it today! There‘s something extra lovely about reading the book you just bought! #NYLittens

Pickpick

This is the best of non fiction - takes a topic I know nothing about and in the space of 300 pages enlightens me, enrages me and demands to be told to everyone I see. The story of greed and racism at individual, community, corporate, state and national level is told in story form that, despite the wide range of characters and sub plots, enabled me to stay connected to both the issue and the victims. #blameitonlitsy #onenonfictionbookamonth

rockpools In case you haven't already seen it (sorry if it's old news!) you might be interested in @Riveted_Reader_Melissa 's #nonfiction2018, which is also one nf a month. 6y
Mitch I didn‘t know that @RachelO, I‘m new to Litsy ( 3 weeks in and bookshelves are bearing the weight well!!). Thanks for the tip, much appreciated 6y
rockpools I wasn't sure how long you'd been here - your numbers are storming! I did the one-a-month thing last year, & one of the joys of Litsy for me has definitely been 'meeting' other nf readers. 6y

ClairesReads So keen to read this one 6y
Mitch That‘s good to hear @RachelO I‘m not a natural non fiction reader for pleasure. I read quite a lot in a work related context so leisure reading tends to very ‘loose in in a story‘ focused! But I‘m determined to broaden my horizons , learn some new stuff and enjoy good writing whatever the genre! So loving litsy so far! Any tips for a newbie?! 6y
Mitch Do @ClairesReads ! It‘s super readable and a story that should be known wider than it is. 6y
Mitch I‘ve not read that - another to add to the pile! 6y
rockpools @Mitch Not sure if you saw @RaimeyGallant 's tips for newbies? (Think there's a link in her bio). Other than that, just have fun! 😊 6y
