Recently I‘ve been reading #onenonfictionamonth and been loving it. This is my #bookhaul from #nyc. Didn‘t realise just how non fiction focused my book buying was this week!

A super eclectic month... some 5⭐️ 3⭐️ and 2⭐️fiction, a brilliant exploration of family, a troubling part crime / part memoir, a straight talking doctors take on how to attack complex tasks and prep for a West End theatre trip, next month! I ❤️books..

A random month...excellent short stories, thriller-like non fiction, epic storytelling, 2 books in series, eccentric dark comedy and one disappointment!
I‘ve been good with my 2019 goals - I‘ve read my #onenonfictionamonth and I‘ve completed a series. Which feels good, because I‘ve found it hard to focus a bit this month and haven‘t been seen walking around the house with my nose in a book negotiating the furniture!
I came across this story on This American Life. It sparked intrigue & anger over the incredulous theft from the Tring Natural History Museum of a historic collection of rare birds. It raises questions on how we value the past, as a resource for our future, the nature of obsession & the provides a glimpse into the world of passionate collectors. The story is well told & reads fast, as you race to the conclusion of the drama. #onenonfictionamonth
✅ To finish some / all / most / a few of the series that I‘ve started before starting new ones!
✅ To squeeze audiobooks into my life somehow
✅ To read at least 52 books and continue reviewing every one I read
✅ Continue my 2018 intention of #onenonfictionamonth
Despite all the celebrating December has been a great reading month...this month I‘ve travelled the US sampling great food & culture, cracked a classic, discovered I‘m not keen on vampires, but quite like witches and silkies! I‘ve walked the streets of New York and caught up on my soap operas in space!

Varied month! Didn‘t realise how blue they all were! This month I‘ve been lurking in Oxford colleges, feeling the sand at the shores of Long Island, getting involved in family drama and exploring what might happen when space highways fail. But stand out has got to be spending time with the staff who make the LA Library such a thriving community hub. ❤️
Second #bookmail today..... from the curator of rare books at University of Illinois College of Law, telling the tale of the organised book thief ring operating in Manhattan across the 1920/30s. I‘m back on track with my #onenonfictionamonth so looking forward to reading this very soon!
Have you read this @LeahBergen ?
Really enjoying this - L.A. Central Library has got to have the most fascinating history ever! #onenonfictionamonth
