#AugustGrrrl #day13 #RaiseYourGlass To the one and only Miss Phryne Fisher.Able to charm her way in any situation, she drinks only the finest champagne, the best cocktails made by the inimitable Mr Butler, but will also down a beer with her red ragger taxi drivers, Bert & Cec or even a shot of vodka or schnapps with a client. She's a force to be reckoned with, as a PI there's none better even in an age where women were supposed to be meek & mild.
#raiseyourglass to these authors! 🍸Gay or bisexual, all extremely important writers who have/had made a diverse impact on literature. These are only some of them from among the many LGBT authors and books about the LGBT community - David Sedaris, Sarah Waters, Jeanette Winterson, Oscar Wilde, Tennessee Williams, and Virginia Woolf.

She discusses the extent to which alcohol has played a role in the writing of iconic authors including Hemingway and Fitzgerald. I'm looking forward to finally reading this one; it currently sits on my Kindle TBR list.
