pickSoft pick. I liked the mystery surrounding the reality show, but it was much less character focussed than the first novel. Ffion and Leo were a big focus in book 1 as was Ffion‘s family and that was absent here, so while it works as a mystery/procedural it‘s not what I expected from this installment.
pickBetter than the first! I really liked Georgina and her relationship with Ffion. Kinda frustrated with Leo & Ffion. But the supporting characters were great and Macintosh does a great job making the setting come to life.
pick“Dead Famous“ is a sharp, funny, and ultimately disturbing look at the dark side of reality television and the lengths people will go to for fame. It‘s a thought-provoking commentary on a culture where entertainment often trumps human decency, and where the line between reality and fiction becomes increasingly blurred.
pickI've only known Kelly Osbourne from her song “Daddy don't preach“, but when I came along this book, the cover just spoke to me. And after reading it, I'd say I would like to be friends with Kelly. We wouldn't agree on everything, but I'm deeply impressed with her, her honesty, and her attitude. She's very, very honest and open in those letters, about herself, the showbiz, her family.

pickSo good! I loved every minute of this follow up to The Last Party except for the end where it ended on a cliffhanger. And the next one isn‘t out yet. But it was a solid mystery, had great character development, and a fast pace and I‘ll look forward to the next one eagerly. #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks
pickReally getting into some books set in Wales. This is the 2nd book in the Ffion Morgan series and I might have liked it more than the 1st!
This one has a reality tv show set up in the mountains and a contestant goes missing. While they‘re trying to find the missing contestant, the show runner is murdered.
This was a good mystery, but I really liked the relationships!
Since I've finished my book for #BookishMonopoly yesterday evening, I made a new roll, and landed on “Chance“ again. So once again, I noted down all the books I have planned to read the next months and made a blind draw.
I got lucky, because I have planned Kelly anyway for later this month as part of my #roll100 rolls. Guess this book really wants to be read 😁
