A unique sci-fi/romance set in a futuristic world with clones and digital media implants. The heroine, Felicity is from a family that doesn‘t believe in using the tech, and is a tarot card reader with better than average luck.

Excited to try to do the #readyourkindle challenge again this month. I realized I accidentally listed a book I finished last month so I randomly picked a new one for #15. Thanks @CBee for organizing

I am not a fan of science fiction, but steamy science fiction... I was willing to give it a try ??

This fun take on "The King and I" was in a pile of donations, and I just HAD to pull it out to see what an alien romance was like.

Very fun, very quick read, and very steamy.

Phillips has more books based on musicals ? ? ?

I have been reading these books out of order. Technically they can all be read as stand-alones. However, I wish this particular book I had read sooner since it is about characters that are repeatedly mentioned in later books. Still enjoyed and was glad to fill in some blanks. 4⭐️

3 ⭐ I expected this book to be a sci-fi adventure, which it was. I was not expecting this book to be a love story. Overall, I liked and enjoyed this book. There were some things that were annoying. The romance in this novel was fine however, it felt like an afterthought. Like an editor said shove in romance and the author did so. Then finding out that this book series, each book is about somebody different the way romance books are and not a

LibrarianRyan continuation of the original story the way most sci-fi books are, was disappointing. The other thing I found annoying, is this civilization is thousands of years into the future and the main character Ada kept complaining about her bra. There is all sort of advanced technology, including nanobots, and regeneration gel to keep humans‘ hole, so why would a character need a bra to keep her breasts lifted. Wouldn‘t they stay naturally perky because of 8mo
LibrarianRyan of the nanobots.? It‘s just one of those things that was two “now” to make sense in this book. The story is a fun romp, but it very much feels like a first effort. I am looking forward to continuing the story about the sister, but I am sad that this ended, and we will not be going on more adventures with Ada and Lock. 8mo
Readergrrl I get a kick out of your bra analysis. Spot on! That and the names seemed so anachronistic that I struggled to get past them! 8mo

LibrarianRyan @Readergrrl exactly. The names were so American boring. And I won‘t get started on the bras again😀 8mo
Readergrrl @LibrarianRyan Unrelated question: isn‘t today Opening Day for #NMS23 ? 8mo
LibrarianRyan @Readergrrl I am pretty sure I put 23rd which is technically tomorrow. But go ahead and open. littleWolf1 will probably be posting hers soon as she just asked me the same thing. I would have posted but mine isn‘t here yet. Please open. Enjoy!!! 8mo
Readergrrl @librarianryan I had the 23rd handwritten on my calendar, but I think I saw 22nd on the Google form. No worries! I‘ll wait until tomorrow. I hope you get your package soon!! 8mo
LibrarianRyan Mines coming from Canada so I knew it was going to be late. It‘s okay. 8mo

#BookReport
I keep going off forecast for my finishes but I'm happy that I finally got around to these two and am more of a House Andrews completionist now.

#WeeklyForecast
Goal this week is to make it to the end of the first story in Orphan's Tales and keep current with GoTChapterADay. I also want to start another audiobook on my commute because I'm tired of the same songs on the radio.
