pick4.5⭐️ holy hell, what a ride. Let‘s start with please check your trigger warnings. I get that it‘s a dark romance, but some of the “villains” scenes can be a little much. This is a dark romance/thriller book and it kept me on the edge of my seat. The only reason it doesn‘t have a higher score was because a lot of the spice took over some of the plot. Mind you I loved all the spice. I just could‘ve used some more backstory. #BookSpin #BookSpinBingo
pickI‘ve read many Litsy reviews of this book, but I was still expecting more from the hockey player must learn to figure skate plot along with the spicy scenes. It was a fun read, and I loved the team friend group dynamic that frequently had me laughing.
It bothers me somewhat that I borrowed this from a HS girl, but I also appreciate there are some great messages about communication & consent compared to the romance novels I first read as a teen.

I really value the conversations on prejudice, especially knowing how vital some of these character become. I also liked seeing the hints of things to come and the development of certain relationships (love and friendship ones) that we‘ll appreciate more as the series goes on. I spend through this just as quickly as I did the first time and it‘s good to know the reread value is there for this series!
