There's no way I'm getting the last one. None of the books I may read tonight are set in the 80s

This was a very short & straightforward account of the life and crimes of serial rapist/murderer Danny Corwin. but it wasn‘t overly sensationalized and gave the living victims a chance to tell a story that was very swept under the rug (due in part to the attacker‘s family‘s influence in their church).

I‘ve decided to shamelessly review some of my son‘s seasonal books to hit some bingo prompts. I thought this 1 was just fall but it‘s actually Thanksgiving. My personal favorite but especially because there‘s a “You‘re my little marshmallow” and my son is Marshall and his grandma calls him Marshmallow. In general it‘s cute and all the elements tie in Tgiving & explain it as family & gathering etc

Taking a break from this one. Most of the reviews are SO good & some did warn that it‘s slow, but 140 pages in hardly a thing has happened and there‘s so much book left 😩 so far no one has hashed any clue what they are doing, it seems kinda white savior/white feminism heavy & the cutesy names are putting me off. I still have 350+ pages. I‘m going to read my next book & see if I want to come back to it after.Any opinions on this one are welcome 🤗

This was a pleasant surprise. It‘s sweet & makes some good points about the victims of society‘s True Crime obsession. There‘s a lot of social media speak, which may turn some people away but the way the FMC spoke was likely spot on to someone whose connection with the world is a therapist, social media & literally 2 people (until she meets her hot new neighbor & starts to take her life back)

The action was good, it kept my attention. But it tried too hard to be gritty, & the romance was SO FORCED.

Really nothing super new here, but it was very spooky cute! Witches, a variety watercreatures, faefolk, family drama & ghosts in a seaside setting, with a little spice 🌶️ as the cherry on top. I ate it up.

I thought this was the final book 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩
But, that disappointment aside… I loved the intergalactic episode of the Bachelor and all the behind the scenes drama Dina gets into.

I love this series so much. A new case to find 3 missing people takes Evander away from his new home at the Ruby to LA where he has to confront certain aspects of his past (including his mother). At first I wasn‘t as drawn into the case, but the I new faces grew on me & I was pleased with how it wrapped up. Vikas Adam‘s narration is perfect as always.
