I thought this was the final book 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩
But, that disappointment aside… I loved the intergalactic episode of the Bachelor and all the behind the scenes drama Dina gets into.

Another fantastic installment in the Innkeeper Chronicles. This is a bound volume of serialized stories, so it feels like 2-3 stories in one. However, it works really well and we are introduced into even more wondrous characters and creatures. I highly recommend this series, though it could possibly be read alone, I recommend starting at the beginning because it‘s so good! 5⭐️

There‘s an extreme cold warning out, so my plan for today is to chip away at my current drama (WORD OF HONOUR), cuddle some dogs, and read a whole lot. I‘ve already finished my daily Proust, a novelette from Elizabeth Bear‘s NEW AMSTERDAM, and the last chunk of THE FUTURE OF HUMANITY by Michio Kaku on audio. Now I‘m about to settle in with Ilona Andrews‘s latest Innkeeper novel and super-snuggly Penny.

This series is my go-to relaxing fantasy fix. I love the world building and the fun love stories and there is a crazy tyrant empress that likes to eat people, but has a heart of gold. This was this year‘s new addition to the innkeeper series and I couldn‘t stop listening.

I‘ve read all of the Innkeeper Chronicles, either from the library or serialized as IA released them on their blog. Since they added a bonus chapter to the print version of the tagged, I decided it was time to get the series for my own collection (just don‘t ask where I‘m going to put them!). Thanks to Cavalier House Books for including the lovely ARC with my order - now I have to decide if I‘m reading it first or letting kiddo have it. #BookHaul

This is the last book photo Kiyo will ever be in, yesterday we gave her a dignified death. I‘m glad it was such a good book, one of the best in the series.
To find a missing family member, Dina and Sean must host a galactic style Bachelor contest, with the goal of no more deaths and getting a ride to an inhospitable planet to attempt a rescue.
4.5/5, read for an intense magical sci-fi adventure with fun romance and stellar reality TV

Really late to post this but...

Only managed to finish the tagged this week but I made it to around 38% in Semiosis before my Kobo battery died.

I honestly don't know if I'll be able to finish another book before the New Year but I'm willing to try lol. I never really go out on NYE so I might do a heavy reading binge before watching the ball drop on tv.

Innkeeper is my favorite Ilona Andrews series and this one was a wealth of new background information and a big reveal for the overarching series plotline. I'm devastated I have to wait for any period of time to read what happens next.
