#3books #thativerecommendedtoothers

Some of my favorite reads that I often recommend if one enjoys a bit of magic realism.

I am usually reluctant to recommend books because I always think everyone else is far more intellectually than me and will think my choices a bit crass, but these are #3Books #ThatIveRecommendedToOthers that have all been enjoyed by those others 😊

BookDragonNotWorm I'm reluctant about recommending books because I enjoy such a large percentage of what I read that I worry I'm too easy to please and everyone else will think the books I love are crap and then I might not be able to like them (the people) anymore. 😂 4y

#3books #thativerecommendedtoothers

When I‘m asked which book of an author would I recommend, I‘d go with these instead of the more well-known titles of the author..although those are also very good reads!

My Cousin Rachel instead of Rebecca
A Ladder To The Sky instead of The Heart‘s Invisible Furies
A Little Stranger instead of Fingersmith

Suet624 Thank you for the Sarah Waters recommendation. 4y

MsMelissa I recommend My Cousin Rachel over Rebecca, too. 4y
Reviewsbylola A Ladder to the Sky 🥰🥰🥰 I love Sarah Waters too, although I typically recommend Tipping the Velvet or The Fingersmith. 4y
BiblioLitten I have to read My Cousin Rachel. Rebecca is a cherished read for me. 💕 4y
BarbaraBB I loved these Boyne and Du Maurier too. So now so want to read the Waters, who Night Watch I loved but Tipping the Velvet disappointed 🤷🏻‍♀️💕 4y

#3Books #ThatIveRecommendedToOthers

These are pretty much my go to recommendations, The Night Circus for the imagery, A Sand County Almanac is a classic that gets folks thinking about the outdoors. And The Stones Cry Out to explain my obsession with rocks 😜 and it's pretty gut wrenching too.

@Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @OriginalCyn620

OriginalCyn620 The Night Circus was one of my choices for today‘s prompt too! 4y
Graywacke I still need to get to Sand Country Almanac... 4y
stretchkev Leopold is great for any season. 4y
Nute Fantastic choices! I love The Night Circus and The Stones Cry Out. I haven‘t read Sand County Almanac, but I feel like I can trust your recommendation based on our mutual liking of the other two novels.😊 (edited) 3y
stretchkev @Nute Sand County Almanac isn't a novel, like the others but a essay collection about nature and conservation. I think its one of those essays that sparks a different kind of thinking even if you don't necessarily agree with everyone of Leopold's ideas. 3y

#3books #thativerecommendedtoothers .....📚💕

I‘m a bookseller so all I do all day, is recommend books to others! But these are some of my never fail picks to frequently asked for recommendations .....

- for reluctant boy readers that like sports, but hate reading, any of Kwame Alexander‘s books are good to try...
- for the historical fiction lover, I love to recommend The Gentleman.
- for the romance reader who wants to try a new author, tagged

Joanne1 I‘m a librarian, I do a lot of recommending too especially now that our libraries are closed for browsing. I always recommend Jane Harper‘s The Lost Man for someone looking to branch out beyond the more prolific mystery writers. 4y
OriginalCyn620 Love The Kiss Quotient! 💛 4y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks The Count!! ❤️🖤 4y
Reviewsbylola I love Amor Towles so much! 4y

I'm a teacher and these books have been really eye-opening and changed the way I think about and manage classroom interactions. I keep recommending them and I keep coming back to them myself.
