Taking a little break from the 9/11 book (which is REALLY good) to revisit this old favorite from my childhood. It was yet another yard sale purchase my mother got for me, and I read it a lot. Anxious to see if it holds up to adult eyes.
This story is relatable to kids because they find interests in animals and also like to play pretend as this character is doing.
I am the Dog is a realistic fiction book written by Daniel Pinkwater and illustrated by Jack E. Davis. This story is about a little boy and his dog switching roles. This teaches children about things dogs do and how they know through observations. It puts things in a new perspective for kids!
