I without a doubt 100% recommend this book. It‘s a love story it‘s a belief and how circumstances sometimes highlight challenges. I don‘t want to give too much away but this was a beautifully written story set in Trinidad populated by amazing characters. #travelthroughbooks #trinidad #bigjunereadathon @Clwojick

Jgacreations I started reading this and liked the story but just couldn‘t get into it. I‘ll have to revisit it. Ty! 2y
KristiAhlers @Jgacreations I could totally see how you‘d have to be in the right mindset for it. 2y

For #readparis #travelthroughbooks I finally picked this one up. Although I‘m a little burned out on WWII set stories there was something about this one that kept me hooked. I totally recommend this book. #bookspin #bigjunereadathon @TheAromaofBooks @Clwojick

Aims42 Great review!! I was so excited for this book when I got it from BOTM a few months ago, I should move it back up my TBR pile 👍 2y

For #readafrica2022 #Ghana I downloaded this one and let me tell you I was hooked right away. With plenty of twists this is a solid mystery/suspense read. Loved the cultural elements that truly pull you into this world! #travelthroughbooks @BarbaraBB @Librarybelle

Librarybelle I‘ve got this one on my to read list! 2y
KristiAhlers @Librarybelle I think you‘ll really like this one. Different but good. 2y

I love how these three authors can write three different timelines and have them seamlessly come together telling a story of family, secrets and a house that is a character in and of itself. Highly recommend this book for all summer reading lists. #bookspin #travelthroughbooks #rhodeisland #bigjunereadathon @TheAromaofBooks @Clwojick

melzen Thank you for the recommendation now I can use this as my book that is set during summer 2y

I purchased this book last month and I would pick it up and put it down hence the reason I selected it for one of my #bookspin books. I was getting to the point I wasn‘t sure I‘d read it. This was by turns a lovely read and heartbreaking one as well. I love this authors voice and found Nori to be a character I wanted to take the journey with. @TheAromaofBooks #travelthroughbooks #japan #bigjunereadathon @Clwojick

TheAromaofBooks Lovely cover!! 2y
KristiAhlers @TheAromaofBooks I thought so too. The read is still with me. Left me with a book hangover 2y
Clwojick Pretty cover! 2y

For the decade 1971-82 I selected this title for the #bigjubileereadinglist. This book represents England/India. Although this was hard to understand at times (writing style) it was still a solid read and I fully understand why it was included on this list. I‘m also glad I took the time to read it. #travelthroughbooks #india

I run our local B&N‘s book club. With that said…if I didn‘t run it I would not have read it. I would‘ve DNF if I could. I liked nothing about this book. I had high hopes. I don‘t know if it‘s her writing style which was hard for me to read. Or if it was the characters? Whatever it is I wasn‘t a fan. #bookspin #thebigjunereadathon #travelthroughbooks #parisfrance @TheAromaofBooks @Clwojick

TheAromaofBooks Hopefully it at least leads to some interesting discussions!! 2y
KristiAhlers @TheAromaofBooks goodness I hope so! Otherwise I tortured myself for no reason. One of the books we discussed I was literally the only one who finished the book 🙄. I‘m like well next time y‘all decide it‘s too stupid to read let me know 🤣 friends don‘t let friends read dreck! 2y
TLuvs I'm about to start it for the BN bookclub... what is the deal with so many of the books they choose, being this way? 2y
KristiAhlers @TLuvs we have been asking the same question. We‘ve decided someone at corporate is working through issues by their book picks 🤣. It‘s been bad enough that we have started a rogue book club as well. Each of us taking a month and picking a book. So far that‘s been way more fun than official book. We do both. However this one was my least favorite so far 🙄 all I could think was Dustin Hoffman and The Graduate 2y

For #travelthroughbooks #spain I inhaled this one. Once again this is part of the Perez Sisters and I loved visiting with them once again. There is just something about the way this author writes. A wonderful read you should add to your summer reading list!

I really loved this book. #travelthroughbooks this story is set in #china during the war and tells of a mother and her son and how they flee Japanese occupied China. I highly recommend this titled if you are a fan of family saga-esq type reads.
