On this National Day of Mourning, I want to dedicate my post to my hero, Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter was someone that lived his life serving the world, knowing he didn‘t need a title to do good. His faith and works speaks volumes about the man he was, and his marriage to Rosalyn was one for the ages.

I‘ve been collecting his books, all signed, for years now, and they mean so much to me. Thank you President Carter for your service.

Leftcoastzen We need more like him , though it seems unlikely in these selfish times . 1mo

I love our #coffeebeanbookclub missing from this amazing package is a mason jar filled with one of my fav candies (I hid them before the kids saw them). The coffee smells amazing, I LOVE the coffee coaster, and can‘t wait to try the jelly. This months read looks like so much fun. Thank you so much!!!

So thankful someone offered to cover my in office day! I‘m working from home and not braving these crazy winds. @Avanders do you miss this kind of WI weather? 😆

BethM @Kshakal @JenReadsAlot @peaknit you guys all ok on that side of the state? 2y
JenReadsAlot Well it's warmed up from -11 to -6 😂 2y
JenReadsAlot Glad you were able to work from home! 2y

Kshakal @BethM it has warmed to feeling like -13… I have no plans to leave the house anytime soon 2y
Palimpsest I‘m in between MKE and Madison and grateful to be home today too! It‘s brutal out there. 2y
KathyWheeler Dang! It‘s in the 20s down here, and I don‘t want to leave the house! I guess it‘s all in what you‘re used to. 2y
BethM @Palimpsest I‘m in the fondy area and work in mke- I think that drive would have been awful! It‘s not usually this bad this early! 2y
BethM @KathyWheeler haha true! I remember being in NOLA for training once and it was in the 70s with 700% humidity and the pool at the hotel wasn‘t open bc it was still “winter.” Meanwhile we‘re all in tshirts 😂 2y
KathyWheeler @BethM I‘ve often been in shorts, sleeveless shirts, and flip-flops at Christmas. 😄 2y
peaKnit The visibility is good here south of Madison and my husband, who is not a nervous driver, said highways were not to bad. I have a friend driving to O‘hare to get her daughter, praying it‘s good that way. 🤞🏻 2y
BethM @peaknit mke looked good on the highway cams- seems like the further south the better. 2y
Avanders Whooo!! I do, tbh, but I *don‘t* miss driving, walking, or going *anywhere* in that weather! So maybe it‘s more the *thought* of that weather I miss 😁🤩❄️☃️💙 Stay safe!! 🌬️🤍 2y

My Grandfather's Coat | Jim Aylesworth

This story tells such a cute progression of a piece of a grandfather and the importance of family relationships. The story shows the grandfather using the same material throughout his life to make different things for important events!
