#majicmonday Thanks for the tag @Eggs ! This was fun to look up. Venice (5,700 miles) narrowly beat Trondheim, Norway (5,400 miles). Inset photo is looking back at Venice from our boat on the way to Marco Polo Airport.

We have some mighty world travelers on litsy. I can‘t wait to hear from @wanderinglynn @Cuilin @BarbaraBB @julesG @Teresereading

TheBookHippie Omg it‘s Hawaii for me 4,438 miles … not places in Europe that are 3800 & 3900!! 6d
julesG I think Bali was the farthest so far, roughly 7400 miles, as the crow flies. 6d
Eggs Excellent 👌🏼 Thanks for joining in 🙏🏻 5d
BiblioLitten Interesting! For me it would be 6737 miles (Western Canada-South India) 5d

I‘m still inputting all my books I got on my last trip to Arizona. This is the sixth book in the mystery series featuring Commissario Guido Brunetti set in Venice. Slowly getting the 33 books in the series.

Texreader @kwmg40 That‘s great! So you‘re enjoying the series? 6d
kwmg40 I‘ve read only a few in the series and not in order but I intend to read more, as I am definitely enjoying the books! 6d

#TuesdayTunes

Yesterday started out gloomy and then the wind picked up and washed it away. Today is a perfect fall day.

I love Vivaldi‘s Four Seasons and learned he wrote sonnets for each season at a candlelight performance a couple of years ago.

Here is Autumn: https://youtu.be/UIdwCrfDNjU?si=QrP8lmLBVBdn3b_B.

Along with Van Gogh‘s Harvest at La Crau with Montmajour in the Background.

Sunday afternoon coffee & a book. It‘s beautiful on the porch-quite the juxtaposition of summer & autumn. Blue cloudless sky, 81 degrees but no humidity, the leaves on the trees turning.Loving this peaceful time. #beautybreak #75Soft

Oooh, after a slow start, I couldn't get enough of this.
I've been down a long rabbit hole on secret religious texts and Venice churches... Excellent read.

My book haul from Bookmans in Phoenix yesterday. This is a first for me. Can you spot the terrible typo in the title of one of these books?

Use spoilers below when you discover it. I‘d love to see who all catches it.

Ruthiella SLEEP has one too many “E”s. 👀🤣 2mo

TheBookHippie I lost track of your earlier post but yes I keep bags paper and plastic from bookstore visits I hang them with my totes. 2mo

LiteraryinPA That‘s so egreeegious! On the spine?? How did that ever make it to print? 2mo
ImperfectCJ In defense of the copy editor, spotting typos in all caps is tough, especially when it's something like a title that our eyes skip over. (Still, this one should have been caught by spell check.) Perhaps they'll correct it in the next print run, and this one will become a collector's item! 2mo

rabbitprincess Literal LOL! Love it! On a similar note, I have a book by Mark Billingham that has his name spelled “Billngham” on the spine 😂 (edited) 2mo

TODDAY‘S PROMPT: MUSICIAN

Venice, music, wealthy families, secret meetings, and of course love.

THE VIOLINIST OF VENICE is a marvelous, alluring, seductive debut novel with impeccable research that had me wanting to know more about Antonio Vivaldi.

ENJOY!!!  What about that gorgeous cover?  5/5

Pickpick

I wish there was a rating between a Pick & a So-So. If there was,I would put this book in that category, because it was slow for me to get into.
A friend of Brunetti‘s wife asks his help in determining if her tern son uses drugs.Almost immediately after this request, his father is found unconscious on a bridge that results in a life altering brain injury.Brunetti investigates. Are these crimes connected? The ending result is a surprise for me.
