My #bookclub read this one for July & I was excited to re-read it—& binge read the rest of Jackson‘s books that have been on my TBR! As a reread, this holds up well! I love the multimedia angle here & honestly, hadn‘t remembered all the twists of the plot! Sure, some clues play out with a heavier hand than others but it‘s a fun #YAThriller & it was definitely well-liked by the whole club! Looking forward to the rest & for seeing the TV adaptation!

This story reminds me of Halloween, except it‘s around Valentine‘s Day. The twist at the end I expected, but it was much bigger than I had guessed. This a a great #yathriller

Ichaso‘s latest #YAThriller surrounds the abandoned— & considered cursed— property along the beachside cliff tied to four deaths before a new body count starts rising after the senior class hosts a party on the grounds. Eden‘s outcast by most peers in the wake of her father‘s embezzlement & disappearance, but when she helps a film class acquaintance with his documentary on the curse, she‘s drawn into investigating & getting close to old friends.

I‘m not sure why I didn‘t DNF this. The main character, the plot, and the writing (so many similes) grated on my nerves throughout. I was curious about why the Swarm was created, but the answer left me unsatisfied.

This #YAThriller hooked me with its alternating perspectives from identical twins, Saffron & Georgia. Though not alike—& barely even friends after Saffron‘s posting embarrassing videos online. But they continue to play Sole Survivor with the same group of seven others. When Saffron speculates which of their group archetypes would win the game in real life, a rogue AI grants her wish in this oddly deadly mashup of Willy Wonka & The Breakfast Club.

Trying to get back into posting my reads. This is my most recent finish and oh. My. God it was so good! From debut author, Megan Lally this book was intense with its twists and turns. I thought I had the “twist ending” guessed from the synopsis but I was wrong and was gutted by the end. AaaaaAAAAAAAAAH!!! God, Angeline Boulley is good at weaving tons of threads together into one lush story. Perry had an excellent voice and a great journey, and I had no clue who was behind any of the mysteries. And the links to Firekeeper's Daughter were fun, too! I hope there's more to come. #yalit #yathriller

Has Ally Carter ever gotten darker in a book? So many double-crosses, so much adventure, but also an ending everyone deserves, for good or for bad. I wish Grace had had a little more formal mental health support, but damn, I'm ultimately not complaining. #reread #yalit #yathriller

Layers and layers of intrigue topped off with an excellent unreliable narrator. I think Grace is Carter's darkest-humored heroine, which is an interesting change from her other books, too. The amateur teenage espionage crew grows, as well! #reread #yalit #yathriller
