Just finished reading Phantom Limb by Lucinda Berry and I‘m struggling to process it. I was not expecting that ending & gave an audible WOW. 5 ⭐️‘s

Jeez, so after all the hype I‘m glad to of finally finished The Sundown Motel by Simone St. James and give it 3 ⭐️‘s. No way does it live up to the hype in my opinion. People mention a shocking twist but what I read was very predictable and mediocre. I really wanted to enjoy and love this one but was a tortuous slog to get it finished in the end 👎🏻
As we all know this year has been like no other & with it I‘ve had to shield for 7 months of it due to an autoimmune condition so I‘ve read way more than I would on a ‘normal‘ year. My problem is not knowing what to set next years reading goal to on Goodreads? Previous years I‘ve averaged a book a month (I know, I‘m a slow reader) but this year I would‘ve read 25+
Wow.
How can a book make you feel so emotionally invested as I felt reading November 9?I don‘t just mean emotionally invested as in just crying but feeling like I was the one in love, felt like I was going through the heartache, the butterflies, the anxiety & loss?!I got so invested in this book I felt like I was on top of a mountain & then bam,the twist,I‘m falling,I can‘t breathe. The urge to finish reading but longing for it to go on forever.
My first ever Jo Nesbo book 😍. I was recommended to start with the Harry Hole series to begin with 📖🐛
The Perfect Child by Lucinda Berry
Oh my gosh I don‘t know what to write!! I‘ve read a lot of books similar to this in the same genre but this WOW. I‘ve gasped so much I thought I might hyperventilate, my eyes have popped out of my head in shock on numerous occasions, I‘ve turned the pages eager to see what happens but not wanting it to end all at the same time. A 5 ⭐️ read without a shadow of doubt
Please tell me I‘m not the only one who gets excited by a new reading light 🤓💡📖
I was dubious about reading this book as I‘ve seen a lot of mixed reviews and opinions about it. I loved the short snappy day-to-day chapters and made it feel like a quick read. It was a little slow in places but I can honestly say my jaw dropped a few times in various places in the book and I can normally work out what I thought would happen but I couldn‘t in this one. I give this a solid 4.5 ⭐️‘s
Yesterday it was my birthday and I got books 🥳📚
•Perfect Child by Lucinda Berry
•She by HC Warner
•Let Me Lie by Clare Mackintosh
I‘ve just finished reading The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides and I‘m feeling a little disappointed. After all the raving reviews and it being all over social media I guess I expected a better ending.
Don‘t get me wrong the book as a whole was good, kept me gripped and I definitely wanted to read on when I needed to put it down but I just expected ‘more‘
I give it 3.5-4 stars ⭐️‘s
I can now say I get the hype and all the 5 ⭐️ reviews. A book beautifully written with a nice little twist at the end. It has given me all the feels and I‘m quite sad I‘ve finished it. Definitely a favourite of mine ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have a confession to make and I feel awful about it. I had to put The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah on the ‘I‘ll come back to you one day‘ pile. I got 8 chapters in & was really struggling to find any love or urge to keep reading. Anyone else felt like this reading this book?
I really enjoyed this book. It was intense and immersive. Loved how each part of the book was from a different viewpoint ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Explains why I can‘t find anything to wear but can always find something to read 🙊🤓📚 #booksbeforeclothes
