Rhi is the owner of the next new dating app but only uses it for anonymous hookups, never spending more than one night with a man. Until one changes her mind, then ghosts her, hardening her heart even more. Then, Rhi sees him again months later as the face of a competing dating site.
I‘m so behind on posting!
This was a nice romance, although it‘s not as light as your usual rom com. Pretty good!
It was not a remarkable read, but it was good nonetheless

I read this dedication a few days ago & it made me think of the past. I spent a large portion of my 22 years being made to feel weak & insignificant, and I Just started to feel like I deserve better 3/ 4 years ago. This dedication reminded me of my struggle and I'm posting it for anyone who needs to hear those word. YOU DESERVE THE WORLD AND NOTHING LESS
Started this tonight. I‘ve already read books 2 and 3, so I can say with surety that you can read the trilogy out of order.
@sebrittainclark sent this to me as part of my #bestof2020 box and I just finished it. I loved it! I‘ve been out of the dating game for a really long time but the relationship between Rhi and Samson was fantastic. There was romance, yes, but there was a lot of other things going on. Business, trust issues, standing up for yourself, speaking out, etc. I‘ve read a couple of Rai‘s other books but this one is my favorite so far!
Spending time today with this treasure from my #Bestof2020 swap! I‘m not too far in but I‘m loving it so far! @sebrittainclark @candority
Yay! Loved this contemporary romance. This is the first in a linked series — but I read them out of order with no problems.
Looking forward to seeing the author at the Decatur Book Festival romance panel on September 29th. If u want to tune in, here‘s the link:

Enjoyed this cute and fun modern romance that also addresses the risks and consequences of CTE in football players.
I finished this last week but haven't had a chance to post. This was a cute book that involved an interesting work/fun dynamic between the 2 main characters. There were some major trust issues which seemed a little extreme, but otherwise I liked it.
I've seen this one floating around for a while so I'm gonna give it a go
I purchased this book on my last day at work before the pause. I finally got around to reading it today and it was great. The romance felt organic and fun. The heavier moment where well done. When I was half through I put the sequel on hold at library.
A silly, sexy romance is just what I needed right now! Thoroughly enjoying this so far.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 I read this book in less than 24 hours & loved every minute. The characters were really well written, and I enjoyed reading another romance between people of color and where the two MCs were in their upper 30s instead of early 20s. Rai did a great job making the characters believable and mixing real-world issues into a feel good romance. I‘m excited to read more from her in the future!
I started reading more romance books in February and I‘ve read little else since. The Right Swipe kicked off my romance obsession this time around. I love the powerful female lead. So much feminism and sex positivity. I followed up with Girl Gone Viral and it was also a hit. Though Girl Gone Viral was so different from The Right Swipe. Loved these female leads and their sweet and steamy love interests!

“The Right Swipe” is a perfect blend of a strong female protagonist, character growth, and romance. Rhi never gives second chances but what happens when a one-night stand turns into your competitor‘s spokesperson, who you have to work with! If you can relate to being ghosted, check out this fun read!

I‘m such a sucker for a rom-com. This one had me laughing, yelling, cheering and getting misty eyed. WOW!! Just a great read.
During today‘s audio walk I took a trip to the Free Little Library in my neighborhood. I didn‘t take anything but I did leave the pictured books!
My goal while being off of work due to COVID-19 is to catch up on all my #litsylove and #jb cards. If you haven't heard from me I am sorry. I have been switching Bowden audio and print on this book. I am really enjoying it!
We get a lot of walkers past our house so we decided to participate in the local #rainbowhunt 🌈
A quick #audiowalk with the puppy today
My March reads. The pandemic lowered my reading since a lot is done on audiobook during work hours and it‘s just not as possible when working at home while parenting a child on my own. But all 3 books were wonderful! I can‘t pick a favorite. And all so different!!!
#read2020
While social distancing I‘ve been trying to read books that are more uplifting, so I‘ve turned to romance. But The Right Swipe isn‘t just a romance—it also discusses heavier topics like the NFL taking care of its players through head injuries and believing women who come forward with their stories of sexual assault. I enjoyed this one.
1. Less shockingly - get distracted easily
2. Lighter reads whether romance or fiction or YA or fantasy

This book has been a great escape from this ::gestures wildly::
I was really impressed with this book. This is the first book in Alisha Rai‘s new Modern Love series which is an appropriate name for it since it reflects exactly that. It tackles a lot of timely issues, like dating apps, the #MeToo movement, and CTE in the NFL.

I needed a fluffy romance this week, and while I really liked this, it also had more substance than I expected.
Rhiannon owns a matchmaking app and she‘s hoping to acquire the competition. Falling for the nephew of her competitor wasn‘t in the plan. Ex-football player Samson didn‘t plan for Rhi either. He‘s grieving the loss of his uncle and coming to terms with his family legacy. Sexy & sweet, this was a winner

Another disappointing read. This romance just didn‘t work for me. I ended up skimming about 3/4 of the book. I did appreciate the diverse cast, but that‘s about the best I can say for it. I just couldn‘t connect to the characters and frankly, didn‘t feel any heat or tension between Rhiannon and Samson. It‘s sad to read a romance and be bored.
Book 3/5 for #marchunshelving readathon
#UnpopularOpinion but I'm NOT feeling it. Moving on.
I'm about halfway through this and still can't connect with the MC. Thinking of bailing.
This one took a bit for me to get into, then it was impossible to put down. Loved the writing, the modern day dating (which if you‘re doing dating these days, you know!) and the characters! #romance #alisharai #goodread
@Nessavamusic thank you so much! This is awesome ❤️📚💜 And I love the Belle & Beast pouch and coffee bookmark. Thank you!!! 😍
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 My reading has slowed way down as I‘ve picked up my cross stitching again.
Great Romance that also confronts many current issues.
💖💖💖💖 a romance with POC that wasn't trite, didn't make me mad or make me roll my eyes. An actual good representation of black women...Swoon.

[#BookReview] The Right Swipe by Alisha Rai was exactly what I needed! Not only is the romance itself incredibly well written, the characters are great, and the topics this book tackled are incredibly important and handled with care. If you‘re in the mood for a great feminist romance this is the one for you!
