Rainy day breakfast. Not sure about this book yet, but it is growing on me, I guess. It's about the mentoring relationship between a young college grad and a 60+ feminist icon.

Rainy day, reading in the parent pick-up line. Arrived early so I could read a little longer. Peekay is a memorable character, always managing to bloom in the harsh, hateful conditions he keeps finding himself.
Ah, a lazy Saturday. Plenty of time for a leisurely lunch and a spooky book. A happy couple moves into a flat, excited to begin their lives together. But the neighbors.... So far it vaguely reminds me of Rosemary's Baby.
April TBR stack, plus two ebooks for online book clubs (Rabbit Cake and The Magpies), one ARC (From the Corner of the Oval), and more ARCs if I can read fast enough.

I use at least two bookmarks in every book (to track my daily pages), then leave them in the book to give extra life to my library. I also sign and date the last page when I finish a book. What are your book rituals?

In other news, I just learned that Hello Universe is this year's Newbery Medal winner. I highly recommend this lovely book about friendship and courage. The characters are well developed and memorable.

Hi Litsy! Thought my first ever post should be about my favorite book of all time, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, by Betty Smith (even though I didn't read it until this year!). It was one of those books that I had to read more slowly as I got close to finishing it - I didn't want to say goodbye to Francie. So, so good.
