Getting my poetry on this weekend ✨
I'm still just on the preface and this book has made me laugh out loud multiple times.

This was worth the wait, cause I got a signed one AND a DFTBA. Sooo excited for #TurtlesAllTheWayDown 🐢
I always forget how long ago the events of CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN took place, until I reach a passage like this (side note: I worship Lillian Gilbreth more with every reading).
All the talk was right: this book is absolutely incredible. 100% recommend.
There are good books, and then there are books that make me sit and marvel at the fact that I get to coexist with them. This is the latter.

#RiotGrams Day 28: Spine Poetry
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn / The God of Small Things / Tender is the Night / Today Will Be Different
#RiotGrams Day 27: Retro Cover Fun
My mom's 1970 copy of Anne of Avonlea is well-worn. 💕
#RiotGrams Day 26: Childhood Read
I couldn't choose just one, which was also the situation in my childhood.
#RiotGrams Day 25: True Stories
I've laughed and cried over these; not to mention they have the world's prettiest covers.
#RiotGrams Day 24: Tiny Books
Tiny books need a tiny pitcher to complete the look! ✨
#RiotGrams Day 23: Book You've Owned Longest
This was the first book I bought with my own money, so it counts. I still love, love, love it.
Forgot to post #RiotGrams Day 16: Set Near Where You Live
Can't wait for the third book in this series!
#RiotGrams Day 21: Animal Covers
Hippogriffs and phoenixes totally count, right?
#RiotGrams Day 19: Opposites
[Spoiler alert] When you re-read one, you hope she‘ll live, when you re-read the other, you hope she‘ll die (in a nice way).
#RiotGrams Day 18: Book That Made You Cry
All of these have made me cry (some multiple times), but the surprise winner is Yes Please, which got me while I was at the gym.
#RiotGrams Day 17: Get Crafty
I (craftily?) painted these flower pots with lines from H.D. ("The Helmsman"), Sylvia Plath ("Wintering"), and Marianne Moore ("Marriage").
#RiotGrams Day 14: Cookbook/Food-Themed Book
There are a lot of great recipes in here but the best ones are all the baked goods Sookie makes (scones...!)
For "freebie" day I picked these guys cause they're just so pretty ? #RiotGrams
#RiotGrams Day 12: "Summer Reads"
I always re-read my Moomin books during this season because they're the perfect summer books!
#RiotGrams Day 10: Books in the Wild is dedicated to Anne. "Dear old world... you are very lovely, and I am glad to be alive in you."
#RiotGrams Day 7: Well-loved Reads
As you can tell from these beat-up and overly-taped copies, these very much fit the criteria.
#RiotGrams Day 6: Numbered Titles
Coincidentally, many of these are personal faves
#RiotGrams Day 5: Something Magical
Other than HP, the most magical series I can think of ✨ Books for people who love books
#RiotGrams Day 4: Notebooks/Journals
Turns out when you major in English, journals become people's present of choice
#RiotGrams Day 3: How You Read
The best way to read is the way I've always read: wearing the fluffiest robe I can find, surrounded by pillows
I KNEW I missed one of my social media platforms 😂. #RiotGrams Day 2 was yellow covers (or in this case, yellow spines)
It's Day 1 of #RiotGrams ! My favorite thing about today's #shelfie prompt is that everyone's caption is that their pic is only a small part of their book collection.

Here's an ars poetica to double celebrate #WorldPoetryDay ✨
Today I got dragged by the tag on a tea bag.... 😉💵📚
"if there is an edge to each / image the light will find it"
I actually laughed out loud during this part (I wish I could also forget that storyline... sigh). Also, how does one become a super fan assistant? Asking for a friend.
Celebrating today with one of my favorite books, which includes one of the best lines about having a November birthday.
I've got to speed read through SIRACUSA since the library needs it back tomorrow, but couldn't help but stop at this part.
