These are my current books that I'll be definitely reading. Learning more about donkeys... in French so slow going. Inspiration for journalling and essays about bookstores by different authors (like Ali Smith). I only need to choose a novel or mystery for a change of palate! Will post a pic of the options.

Recently finished this book by POC author #KamilaShamsie. Good one! Modern literature is my fav genre.

Borrowed this book about a Dutch family living in the French countryside from our donkey sanctuary shop. Seems like a perfect read for my stay in the French Pyrenees.

Possible reads for the 24 hour readathon. Any of these you wish to either recommend or advise against?
Reading a story a day for the month of Spooktober. 👻 And yes, often while keeping my deafblind tuxedocat company... There's plenty of black cat hairs in the book showing for that 😅 Magical cover btw.
pickDeciding between "pick" and "so-so" as I enjoyed the read (and may pick up another book in this series someday), but I wouldn't particularly recommend it to my furiends. It's a cosy pastime for cat lovers that don't expect anything highbrow.
Enjoying the book but get on with that murder people!
Confident this catty read will fit my mood better than the previous one.
so-soPicked up this bookcrossing book at the vet's, hoping for a light, fun and heartwarming read. Alas, it's none of that so did not finish. Have a sick cat of my own and don't want to read sad stories about other ones. Will send it on its journey again.
