Paper Towns | Green, John
post image

My university was having a used book sale. I bought these twelve books for only $6.50! And I finally got to read Paper Towns after all this time. I loved the book! My next venture, once my finals are out of the way, is to read Joy Street by Frances Parkinson Keyes. I liked the first couple of chapters, so hopefully the rest stand up.

Mehso-so

This book was assigned to me in my college English course Women Writers, and I absolutely loved it. It does take some focus since they are using language from the 18th century, but otherwise it reads very well.

"How are we to know what a person's days are like? Emily Dickinson's neighbors thought of her as a sad spinster living quietly in her parents' house, when in fact she was one of the greatest poets in the history of the English language and a frequent correspondent with the most accomplished writers of her day. Shyness isn't a problem, after all; it's a personality type."

Nancy Drew | Carolyn Keene
post image

Even as an adult, one of my favorite past times is grabbing one of my Nancy Drew books and spending a couple hours reading through it. I hope someday to own all of the original series.

lyssamez I love Nancy Drew. I only have two that I hung onto from childhood. 7y
