Starting my 3rd book for #24in48. Tbf I finished a book I was half through first but it counts! @24in48

Second book done for #24in48 and I absolutely loved it. All of the intrigue of a Sherlock Holmes mystery with the charm of a great modern novel. Turned around and told as a woman genius. Great story and characters (and enough nods to the originals that it brought me great joy whenever I discovered them! - For example the Inspector she works with has a name that is an anagram for Lastrade!) I‘m thrilled it‘s a series and can‘t wait to read more!

My #TBR pile for #24in48. All from the library! They also tick some boxes for my #readharderchallenge. So excited to dig in and hopefully get through at least two! @24in48

First time reading through this series and so far this one has been the most engaging from the jump. I‘ve been listening to them through audible and im really getting invested in these characters.

I‘ve become slightly obsessed with old school detective mysteries. Just beginning this one. Let‘s see if it holds up against his Sherlock Holmes!

Absolutely loved this story. Kept be hooked. I looked forward to heading to bed every evening to read and it kept you guessing until the very last! Definitely a pick for people who enjoy a great mystery, especially a SherlockHolmes mystery.

Wow. Just wow. This should be required reading for all high school students. This book is so remarkable. So true. There were actual moments I cried in heartbreak, moments I laughed at the humanity, and moments where I got so angry or frustrated I had to put the book down for a spell. The perspective is so real, so powerful, and so riveting. It feels so cliche but I was moved more from this book than I have been from any book in many years.

“I used to think the world was broken down by tribes,” I said. “By black and white. By Indian and white. But I know that isn‘t true. The world is only broken into two tribes: The people who are assholes and the people who are not”

croberts51 I really enjoyed this one! 7y

I started my Litsy account a year ago with a Stephen King Compendium. Seems fitting that I return with him as well

I totally understand why many love this but I didn't. It was ok, but I love stories too much and don't give fuck all for opinions. About 35% of this book is storytelling and 65% is opinion/conjecture/theory. I agreed with most of her ideas, admittedly, but I just don't care what others think...
