This is unlike any memoir I‘ve ever read. Andre Talley is a fashion icon, someone I‘ve always found fascinating and such a force in the fashion world. I loved the historical knowledge on varied topics he shared and all the dishy, honest, fashion tidbits. Getting the inside scoop on all the designers and models during their heyday was a joy. Read by the author and his signature voice made this all the more special. #bookriot #readharderchallenge

So I was looking into the Book Riot #readharderchallenge for 2023, since I don‘t really like the #pop23 prompts.

But look at number 6! It wants you to finish a book you bailed on! I don‘t like that!! Like you stopped reading it for a reason!

Anyone have any good challenges in 2023 I should look into joining!?

Starting my last book to complete the #bookriot #readharderchallenge for this year. Accompanied by day 3 of a tea advent calendar (and there may or may not be holiday music playing in the background 😉)🥰📚🫖

This is a terrific collection of travel essays, many touching on how the Covid pandemic has affected travel. Covers so many different places and cultures.

My cuddle buddies are in full effect this #caturday. I just can‘t put this down. It‘s very thoroughly researched and well written. As soon as I saw this year‘s #readharderchallenge prompts, I knew this was the author biography I needed to read. #lennox #huey #catsoflitsy

I‘ve spent most of today strapped into this machine and reading this book. Gosh was it good!! The book, the machine not so much. Not sure why I took so long to finally read it, but am glad that the #readharderchallenge had a prompt for a book set in a bookstore. What a delight. I also want to read all the books and stories mentioned in it. Add them to the never ending list.

A slim book of observed wisdom gleaned from Nelson Mandela, written by biographer and friend Richard Stengel. The book presents some beautiful lessons while sharing snippets and stories from Mandela‘s fascinating and varied life experiences.

I love these books. I read 95% of this today, once the mystery kicked in, I had to know what was going to happen and who the murderer was. There was a great twist, which I always appreciate. And animals as main characters is a big plus in my book. #readharderchallenge
