Working through my botm backlog. Some unexpected hits and a few misses for January!

Warming up this cold evening by starting a new book with a fall scented bath and IPA. 🍂🍁

Audio version is so good! Honestly, didn't expect it to be as good as it was. Check it out!

Some good information mixed with a lot of common sense. She basically tells you to accept yourself while constantly telling you how successful she is. I did the audio version and tended to get annoyed with her voice and how she constantly calls the reader "Sister". The book starts out great but just wasn't for me.

Loved this! I understand some people think it is slow and maybe listening to the audio version makes the difference. I really enjoyed all of this book!

This is how I'm spending my birthday....completely submerged in WWII. 900 pages but it's SO good and moves fast! Love it!

Well, I'm in the minority that didn't care for this. I loved the first part and had high hopes but it just seemed to drag more & more as it went along. I felt connected to the characters in the beginning and felt the emotion but that dwindled as the book progressed also.

I must be the only one who didn't care for this book. I didn't find it quirky & funny at all. It was more like boring & tedious. I loved Man Called Ove but this really doesn't compare as many reviews have stated.

The book drags just a little at the beginning while giving some of the background story but after that I couldn't put it down. Very interesting and entertaining read!

Loved this! It took me a couple of pages to get used to the writing style but then couldn't put it down. Nostalgic, very funny, and emotional!

I wouldn't have picked up this book if I hadn't seen so many posts about it but I'm so glad that I did. I really enjoyed this story! I will say that it might not be for everyone. It definitely makes you feel all kinds of emotions, from good to bad.

This is not the type of book that I usually read but there has been so much talk about it that I had to pick it up. I loved it and couldn't put it down. Now that's it's over, I'm so lost! I have a shelf full of books waiting and don't even know what to reach for next.
