Tyrone the horrible is an animal fantasy about a young dinosaur named Borland and his bully Tyrone. Boland and his friends try to befriend Tyrone but it does not turn out the way they thought it would. This is a great way to teach students about the importance of making good decisions. NicoleMaltby The topic of bullying is always hard to discuss with young children because they feel like there is nothing they can do about it. If we are able to implement books like this and teach that bullying is most definitely not a fun or good thing to do. Hopefully it will help ease the topic and get young students to see it is wrong to do. =) 8y

Lyddie is a great historical fiction book for young readers to experience. It dives deep into the lives of Lyddie and her little brother as they work to try and support their family and bring them all back together, but soon their friend gets sick and Lyddie has to help her. The Kissing Hand | Audrey Penn

This is a fiction story about a sweet raccoon nervous about going to school. The mother kisses the palm of his hand so that he has her love everywhere he goes. She tells him to think "mommy loves you" when it is against his cheek. In the end the baby raccoon kisses his moms hand and goes to school.
