Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer

Braiding Sweetgrass | Robin Wall Kimmerer

“That, I think is the power of ceremony: it marries the mundane to the sacred. The water turns to wine, the coffee to a prayer. The material and the spiritual mingled with the humus, transformed like steam rising from a mug into the morning mist.
What else can you offer the earth, which has everything? What else can you give but something of yourself? A homemade ceremony, a ceremony that makes a home.”

Tamra Funny I just read this passage moments ago before closing on the chapter. I thought I‘d read Litsy reviews on the book and here is your post! Lots of quotable material. 3y

Monday must haves • Book, water & essential oils for alignment 🙏🏼

Side note. I started this series 3 weeks ago Wednesday and I‘m internally crying that i‘m on the last book. I‘m not ready for it to be over yet. Sarah J Maas I hope you‘re already writing book 6!

brittareads This is exactly why I haven't started this series yet. As much as I've heard about it, I know I'll fly through it and be sad afterward 🤣 4y

Almost 60 degree days in February are for starting new books in tree swings
unless you‘re the mom of four then you get one page into said new book and somehow get roped into playing tag😅

brittareads Wow this is a vibe. 4y

Used bookstore haul
$13.97 for this beautiful stack!
The only one I‘ve read is Water for Elephants but it‘s been years and it‘s been on my heart to reread it for awhile this year.

Up next• Not my usual type of read but my sister is reading through the series right now and wanted me to give it a fair chance!

Also giving e-reading a fair chance. I am a book in the hand, smell of paper type of girl but I got a kindle paperwhite recently and I really want to love it!

Elizabeth2 This wasn‘t my typical read either. I read it because my sis-in-law highly recommended it, and I loved the series! I have read the latest one yet. (She did and immediately re-read it because she loved it so much!) Here‘s hoping that you learn to like e-reading. It really opens up your reading world! ❤️📚 4y
MothAndMoons @Elizabeth2 I really enjoyed both the book and the kindle! 4y
Elizabeth2 @MothAndMoons yay! I‘m glad you enjoyed the Kindle and the book. You‘ll need to watch for Amazon First Reads each month if you‘re a prime member and their free or reduced price books. 😃 4y

I feel like I‘ve hit the book lottery this month. Every book I‘ve read in February I‘ve fallen in love with and this book is no exception. The perfect grand finale. I couldn‘t put it down and like most people in the book I was torn between being utterly captivated and put off / disturbed by Evelyn Hugo and by the end I was speechless. This story is worth the hype 5/5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book was charming.
A gentleman sentenced to live the rest of his life in a hotel and his story of life and perspective.
A story that has a little bit of everything. History, humor, sorrow, happiness. I quite enjoyed it

If you‘re looking for a book that will stick with your for life A Little Life is that. It definitely isn‘t for the faint of heart. It was haunting, devastating and beautifully written. I cried my way through the entire book as each one of the four main characters solidified a place in my heart.
