pickI know everyone says the series takes off in book 2. I‘m not sure I‘m going to move on to it. This was ok but I wasn‘t that into it. I didn‘t get a book photo before I returned it, so you get a kitty photo.

I‘m reading ACOTAR ironically- my bookclub topic is “popular trash”, and this was the first thing that came to mind. Mainly because I‘ve heard of how spicy the series is, no offense to anyone! I do like fantasy, so I expect to like it. But is the hype real? I‘ll let you know. 😁📚

pickThis didn‘t quite live up@to the hype, but it was still a good read. I‘m super excited to have the whole series in front of me yet. I loved the interweaving of fairytales. Beauty and the Beast, Vasalisa and the Doll, Bluebeard, Baba Yaga. So good.

This isn‘t my favourite Sarah J Maas series, but I‘m still disappointed I missed the chance to see it in person. Hopefully they‘ll keep it on display long enough for me to make it down there once I‘m no longer contagious.

pickSecond time read for me so I can approach the entire series. Still doesn‘t hold a candle to Fourth Wing IMO, but it‘s fine! Not a huge Fae fan, and I find they are so vague in this series that I feel like I‘m an oblivious dunce who tried to sneak into a private event. I hope the rest of the books have more complex character and relationship development.
It's Carnival weekend and we've been on the carnival parade. The time when I finally get to dress up as my favourite fantasy character. I haven't found the bat wings. But I did find spring coloured wings and fairy ears. So, this weekend I'm a fairy from the Spring Court. It matters that I belong to the world of ACOTAR.🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️
Carnival is the time to chase away winter and bring in spring.

pickI‘m not much of a fantasy/romantasy girl, but I did enjoy this! With all the hype surrounding this series, I‘m glad I finally read it because I was so curious about all the hype. I think it lived up to it! Great world-building, plenty of tension, and some spice! I‘d definitely be up to continuing the series.

Magical lands, violence, adventure, beasts, faerie‘s - there was so much going on and that doesn‘t include the romance. The relationship between Tamlin and Feyre was swoon worthy .
A seductive, adventure that the author detailed perfectly. I can‘t wait to read the next one.

Yeah, he seems like a jerk but he knows what‘s going on. Tamlin is still keeping things from Feyre - to protect her or himself and his realm? Can he really send her home? Will she leave her newfound home now that she finally feels comfortable there? She might not have a choice. ⬇️

And he shows her what his world is really like. I feel better knowing that his court is not completely abandoned as it appeared to be. There are many more fairies there than Feyre could see. ⬇️

She lands in such dangerous situations. ⬇️
pickI picked up this book for a Litsy read along and it was so good I couldn‘t just read 2 chapters a day. I now know why Romantasy is such a popular new genre. It‘s romance with a thrilling, action packed B-storyline. This story felt like a beauty and the beast spin off, which made me enjoy it more. It also had a little Psyche trials of proving her love of Eros to Aphrodite spin too. I love that particular Greek myth. So, all in all I‘d recommend it!

They aren‘t all the vicious creatures she was warned about - although there do seem to be a lot of dangers in The Spring Court. And who is this terrible lady faerie we keep hearing whispers about? If this were my book, I‘d be luxuriating in baths, food and the library and just avoiding all that danger- it‘d be very boring haha. But that‘s not who Feyre is. She likes to test boundaries. She‘s still working for her family even when she‘s away from them. ⬇️
