Sometime we find it hardest to accept in others that which we cling to in ourselves.

You have to learn to love the small things in life, like a hot bath. You have to love the small things, when you've nothing else.
Once you've got a task to do, it's better to do it than to live with the fear of it.

Can't decide if I should give it 3 or 4 stars. The story was enjoyable, and I loved the magic system. But it was a bit too fast-paced for me. And I always had a feeling that something was lacking.
I'll give the next book a try as I've heard it gets better. And I'd like to get to know Harry better. He seems like an interesting character.
Recommended to lovers of urban fantasy and fast-paced short reads.
Perfect time to reread The Stand. I read it more than 10 years ago, so I don't remember much. I expect to like it as much as I did the 1st time 🥰
And there's a new adaptation coming sometime this year. Very excited for it 😀
...Temeraire and Lily and Maximus talked and occasionally went aloft for a game of aerial tag.
Dragons playing tag 😍 This book is too cute for me to handle. I've been grinning like an idiot since I started it.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
A wonderful debut novel! Engaging and fast paced, but never felt rushed. Although the romance was kinda straightforward for my taste. It's obvious from chapter one who Audrey Rose is going to end up with.
I'm definitely going to read the next book which is based on Vlad the Impaler.
Trying to get rid of negative thoughts with something fun 🚀
"Basha. What is a word for that here? A man who is intimate with both women and men?"
"Lucky?" Denna suggested. "Tired? Ambidextrous?"
"Ambisextrous," I corrected.

"Introduction to Not Being a Stupid Jackass"
Oh, I wish the university I went to had this class ?
You have a stone in your heart, and some days it's so heavy there is nothing to be done.
We love what we love. Reason does not enter into it. In many ways, unwise love is the truest love. Anyone can love a thing because. That's as easy as putting a penny in your pocket. But to love something despite. To know the flaws and love them too. That is rare and pure and perfect.
A tree doesn't make a thunderstorm, but any fool knows where lightning's going to strike.
God, it took more than a month to arrive 😫 but it's finally here 💘

Informative and witty. I really enjoyed it, although I expected the answers to be a bit more "in-depth". It was obviously intended for the younger audience. I'd recommend to teens who don't want to scare their family with questions about decomposition, burials and other "morbid" stuff. After all, it's not something you'd talk about over a family dinner ?
A man in New Zealand briefly made off with a couple of plastinated toes. Each toe was valued at more than three thousand dollars - pretty pricey toes, though not quite an arm and a leg. 😂
I don't usually read non-fiction books but I really want to know if my cat and dog will eat me if I die at home and no one finds me 😒 I love Caitlin's YouTube channel, I'm sure the book will be awesome 😘
Got some bookish stickers along with the new book ? The blue one says "Can't do anything till I finish the book" and the pink one says "My heart is filled with books".
A new addition! This one contains both The Last Wish and The Sword of Destiny. 😃
Rereading one of my favourites ❤❤❤ Is it the 3rd time? Or 4th?
I have mixed feelings about this. I enjoyed the story (love time travel❤), but something seemed missing. I'm not even halfway through. Maybe it's just the wrong book at the wrong time. I should try to read it again some time later.
Finally getting some reading after almost two weeks of working non-stop 😩
An enjoyable read despite being a bit predictable and cliched. The prose, while not dry, seemed repetitive. I'd love Ms. Ahdieh to find a few more adjectives to describe Basten other than "beautiful".
Loved the main character, Celine. Witty, courageous, confident. I hadn't expected this from the description.
There's a sequel coming out sometime this year, looking forward to read it.
I don't really expect much from this one, to be honest. It sounds like a "guilty pleasure" book for me. I'm a sucker for historical vampire romance ? Pun intended ?
I have a new favourite book! Honestly, it's one of the best books I've ever read. The characters are absolutely fantastic, the prose is superb, the story is believable. I especially love the magic system. And the music... You can almost hear it. It's the second book that me cry. It somehow manages to be both funny and heart-wrenching. An immensely enjoyable novel ❤❤❤
I've already ordered The Wise Man's Fear. Can't wait for it to arrive!
A little more than two days till #24in48 My first read-a-thon! Very excited, but also nervous. Not sure if I can pull this off, cause I have an attention span of a puppy 🐶 I'll try to use this opportunity to get back into reading after a hellish year. Don't know what I'm going to read yet though. Is it a good idea to decide on the spot? Or should I prepare books in advance?
There are names for people who take advantage of women who are not in full control of themselves, and none of those names will ever rightfully be applied to me.
We want the sweet things, but we need the unpleasant ones.
Et's a rare troit tae meet a fella who speks propper. Grummers round these ports sound loik tae've got a mouth fulla wool. 😆
"Women hate Denna".
Yeah, true. I can't put my finger on it but something seems off about her.
For the first time in my life I understood the true purpose of this sort of formal greeting. It gives you a script to follow when you have absolutely no idea what to say.
I thanked him earnestly from the bottom of my rapidly thinning purse.

Music is a proud, temperamental mistress. Give her the time and attention she deserves, and she is yours. Slight her and there will come a day when you call and she will not answer.

I just love the sound of rain and thunder 💦 It keeps me focused on my reading and drowns out the noise my neighbors are making. Apparently, 8 pm is a perfect time to move some furniture 😫
I'm so happy I decided to read this book. No words can describe how much I love it.

My cat is also a reader. She's telling me I should finish this 😫
