The first Ruth Ware book that I couldn‘t get into. It took me forever to read this because until the last 10% I was not even remotely interested in what was happening. I guess I would still say read it, but... quickly so you can get to the really well done ending 😅

Again, would rate higher than pick. Ruth Ware does an amazing job at describing how the MC is feeling and creating an immediate connection with the reader.

This had me engaged from the very beginning. I wish I could rate it higher than just “pick” because it was truly amazing. I hadn‘t heard of Ruth Ware and this was recommended to me by a coworker, which has started my path into reading all of her books. Which I suggest you do the same.

This is a pretty quick and easy read. I found it pretty predictable, but the writer did a good job of keeping you captivated even with the predictability.

I enjoyed this book a lot in the beginning. It does feels like a children‘s book at times, which is fine since you‘re in the mind of a little boy. Towards the middle of the book everything felt very repetitive and drawn out and it continued with that feel the rest of the way through. I almost DNF this. It would have been better if it was shorter, unfortunately.

I was hooked from the second you meet the little alien from hetrayeh. Ursa stole my heart as quickly as she did everyone else‘s. This is one of those books that quickly rose to being in my top 10 books.

Writing style was a bit odd, but the story itself makes up for it. Incredibly suspenseful and a great conversation started, if you like darker conversations. 😂

From the first page to the last I was engaged 100% I‘ve read a lot of negative reviews regarding the “twist” at the end being a let down. If you‘re the type of person who only reads stories with huge twists at the end, this book is not for you. I felt like Dot Hutchinson laid everything important on the table at the very beginning, and added a small twist for those who crave it. It would‘ve been much better without it, but it was still amazing.

This was a lot better than the first book by Dr Harper. At this point we already know what kind of person Elliot is, so all of the excitement is coming from an outward place. The twists were delivered in a much more stimulating way and the ending left me wanting the next one right now. Getting through the first book may be a bit hard for some people, but I think this one would make it worth it for most audiences.

While this wasn‘t the best edited or well written book I‘ve ever read, it was still really fun to read. Of course some of the twists could have been executed better, it still had me enthralled enough to read it in one sitting.

🥀If you leave a door half open, soon you‘ll hear the whispers spoken. 🥀 Just finished listening to this wonderful book. It was a bit hard to get into due to the alternating voices, but after a while I got used to it and really enjoyed every spooky and tense minute. 100% would recommend this book.

After reading “You” I was incredibly excited for this. Joe is different in this though, which took some time to adjust to, but once he meets Love, I begin to actually *like* Joe in a weird way. This I definitely a love/hate situation, it‘s a rollercoaster of not knowing how to feel at all, but I still would recommend it 100%

This is one of the best books I‘ve read this year. I originally watched “You” on Netflix and discovered it was based on a book. In the beginning, it‘s almost word for word identical but as you get further into it, it gets darker and more intense than the show was. I cannot wait to grab Hidden Bodies and continue the story of Joe.

TheBookAddict I read it way before the show and it was truly a hypnotizing story. You want to feel repulsed by Joe and not want to be in his head, but you are in his head and you kind of like Joe. It‘s terrible and genius the way this book was written. Enthralling. I haven‘t read Hidden bodies yet, but I plan to read You again before I get to it. 🙂👍🏽 4y

I got this audio book about a week ago, and I‘m finally getting around to it. So far, I can‘t stop listening. It‘s amazing, but I‘m only 3 chapters in so I hope it continues to go this well!

TheBookAddict I just finished reading this last week and it was a good book. Quite interesting. I told my husband he has to read it. I do have a question about the book that I‘m dying to ask someone who‘s read it, so let me know when you‘ve finished the book. 😆 4y
Straycat @TheBookAddict I just finished it! What‘s the question? 4y
TheBookAddict @Straycat how is it that only one Jason2 made it back to the original Jason‘s world? 4y
Straycat @TheBookAddict I honestly didn‘t even think about that. It would‘ve taken him forever and a thousand different paths to find Jason 1‘s world. By the logic at the end there should‘ve been more. Unless maybe Jason 2 had a map drawn out or something before he entered the box in the first place? But that should‘ve been explained lol 4y
TheBookAddict @Straycat when Jason2 went to dinner with Daniela he explained what some other possibilities for their lives in other worlds were. I thought that he was telling her what he saw on his way to her. He also left his world with 100 biles of the drug they used. 🤷🏽‍♀️ 4y
Straycat @TheBookAddict I didn‘t think of that when I was reading it lol. I was so wrapped up in him getting back to her. Those are some major plot holes 😂 4y
TheBookAddict @Straycat 😆 I know, I didn‘t notice it until the original Jason got back and others started showing up. 4y

I really wanted to like this book. I was incredibly excited, it seemed like something that was right up my alley, just for it to end in a very Gone Girl way. The “twist” was very predictable from very early on. The author had a terrible habit of repeating herself way too much. There were several phrases that were used so often, I almost quit the book. #thedaybefore #withmyhandsonmyhips

I have a love hate relationship with this book. I loved all of it, up until the end. It was probably one of the biggest let downs I‘ve felt in any book I‘ve ever read.

britt_brooke I hated the ending. It was just so dumb. 5y
Straycat @britt_brooke My husband warned me (he saw the movie) that I was going to hate the end. I kept telling him “I doubt it, this is amazing!” I should‘ve listened 😂 (edited) 5y

This was incredibly engaging. If you‘re interested in paleontology, I could not recommend this book more. It‘s perfect.

I struggled my way through this book. While it does have some interesting parts, most of the book felt very dry. I picked this book after being recommended it for my interests in geology, but this book is mostly about the life and the downfall of William Smith.
