Amazing Fantastic Incredible: A Marvelous Memoir | Stan Lee, Peter David, Colleen Doran
post image

Absolutely LOVE this memoir. It's done in comic book form, so already one of the coolest that I've read. His life is fascinating and obviously he presents it in such a 'marvelous' way. Such a fantastic human being, presented the way he deserves, as a comic book hero. I highly recommend! RIP Stan Lee. 🤓📖

67 years ago today Spiderman first appeared in comics. I think it's a perfect time to come out with my latest obsession. He sure knows how to stick around ;)🕷

InterWorld | Neil Gaiman, Michael Reaves

What can I say? I saw that Neil Gaiman wrote another one, so I downloaded this bad boy right away. This is the most science fictiony book he has, so stay away if scifi is not your cup of tea. This is like if DARK MATTER met Valerian. I enjoyed it. Such a unique concept and obviously its Neil, so well written. Not his best, but entertaining to say the least! 🤖👩‍🚀🧙‍♂️🌐

This book is very relevant to some of the topics under discussion in recent current events. I enjoyed the story, however, i felt the ending to be anti climactic. The concept itself is very fascinating.

Mehso-so

I have to say, I am extremely proud of myself for finishing this book (I listened to the audio). I'm not a very big fan of non fiction, but this book clearly has an extremely fascinating topic. Elon Musk is the modern day Walt Disney, for technology. It is not the most exciting read, but it is quite fascinating to experience his journey. Keep in mind that non fiction is not my forte, so that is why I rate this as So-so.

The Circle | Dave Eggers
Pickpick

Disclaimer... this book is very slow paced. I have to say that i enjoyed the book, mainly because the concept itself is intriguing. I think it's worth a read, as it showcases our addiction to new technology. It is scary how accurate it is, in regard to how social media runs our lives. So i rate it as a pick, but it's not a page turner by any means.

I am obsessed with Neil Gaiman as of late! I loved this movie, so naturally I had to read the book. I would highly recommend the audio version, as Gaiman himself reads it, and there is a 20 minute interview with him afterwards. Quirky, whimsical, fantastic... just like the rest of his stuff :)

Coraline | Neil Gaiman
Pickpick

As an Alice in Wonderland fan, the premise behind Coraline caught my attention. It also doesn't hurt that it's written by the innovative Neil Gaiman. A very whimsical, short story that was fun to read. Not his best work, but definitely worth your time!

Louise Welcome to Litsy! You'll love it here! 🎉🎉🎉 6y

After hearing such good things about American Gods, I was curious to jump into the mind of Neil Gaiman. I found this sucker on sale at our local book store and loved it. This is an imaginative, creepy tale about a boy who finds himself facing an impossible feat against an antagonist from another world. This was definitely in the same realm of Coraline. Fun, inventive, and reminds you of what it's like to be a kid again.

Words cannot express how much I enjoyed this book, but I'll have to try! I am an 80s baby, as well as a gamer, so you can imagine that I loved this book. Im a little scared of the movie, but if any one can make a bad ass movie adaptation, it's Steven Spielberg. The cover says it all, a mix between the Matrix and Willy Wonka. Disclaimer.... many 80s and video game references in this book. If you are cool with that, than you will love it!

Mr. Mercedes: A Novel | Stephen King
Pickpick

This is the latest book that I've added to my 'read' shelf. I have to say that I have a bias towards Stephen King. I LOVE his character development, he's truly an artist when it comes to painting a picture for you. This is definitely one of my favorites when it comes to his books... a psychological thriller told from both the perspective of a killer, as well as the ex- detective who is tracking him down. Im excited to finish the series :)

MrBook @BookBabe and I both enjoyed this book. And, I'm guessing you're a fellow librarian? If so, thank you for increasing our deep ranks on here 😎🙌🏻. A hearty welcome to Litsy nonetheless! 😊 6y
