It started really funny but quickly fizzled for me. I thought how he separated the chapters into days (and where we were traveling with him) was clever but didn‘t really work out in the end

The art of finding toilets, light switch and flush in Italy Too funny
“She clearly thought the therapist was out of line when she commented on Simon‘s man boobs...” I just snort laughed
A week ago today I was there! It was so dreamy
Not very useful unless you are tall and skinny
I‘ve enjoyed several of his previous books about his life in Provence He is witty and charming and makes the reader feel like she can pick up and leave to Provence with success! Dare to dream
Love these wicked witches ! New witch, same as the old bitch Lol
I love Lulu. She talks like a character from Dick Tracy or something. I hope we see her again
“Come on, say it again. I‘m a perfect devil. Tell me how bad I am. It makes me feel so good!” Oh Lestat!!! He kills me This book was so much slower than the first 2 (maybe 200-300 pages of back story, really?) but I still enjoyed it
I just love Lestat! “We are going out. But we shall do it like proper vampires...” 😂 lol
Loving this book! It is going by too fast! Slow down
My library was having a blind date with a Christmas book and this is what I got! This is a very short(read it in about an hour or 2) cute read A take on a Christmas Carol Cute and comfy Christmas read
I really liked this book. It had an interesting take on the story of the fall of Troy from the perspective of women I can‘t wait to read the next 2
This was a very interesting read about a woman, taking a chance and biking through Spain She adds really nice history and art lessons in each place she stops with really funny stories Makes me want to travel to someplace new and to pick up some of her other travel writings
This book was so full of fantastic stories that it makes me think I can buy a dilapidated farm and sheer sheep. It was charming and I just loved it
Good read for her first novel Was very predictable and found characters annoying but the end was really good
This book read like a research paper (and maybe it was) but not great But at least it was short
Love this. Why say, everything closed at 9 when you can say all this?
It was sugar and spice. I just loved this
I really love the writing but the topics are really depressing.
This book is Depressing. But I really like the writing
I really enjoyed it. I wonder what she would write about the recent tragedies in the country.
!!!!!
Silence gives consent. Thank you Roxane for saying that rape jokes are not funny ever.
Every week after church, then to the super market and then, finally, to Waldenbooks so I can get the next Sweet Valley High book. I feel you Roxane Gay!!!!
My first read by Anne Bronte. It is a short read that is definitely slow in parts. I love imagining what it was like during that time
Only got a few pages in. The writing didn‘t flow for me, sort of threw me off. And there were several words I didn‘t recognize (on page 2!?!?) so I can‘t deal with that! It was like the author was trying to use every word in her dictionary! So maybe it wasn‘t the right time for me to read it or just not the right book for me. Oh well. Onto Margaret Atwood!
Is would give it 4/5 stars. I really liked it but I thought the first half was actually a bit slow. I do love the easy way of writing and it reminded me how awkward teenage years are!
This book is really funny so far. And I‘m already feeling awkward teenage years uncomfortable feelings
Well, I really liked it. Engaged me from the first paragraph and breezed through it in less than a day. I have read some heavier books lately and this came at the perfect time. I also picked it for it‘s cover. So a surprise win for me. Im glad I didn‘t read the negative feedback before reading. Just so cute
This book is so cute. Just what I needed after reading a few heavier books
I generally liked it. A bit slow in some areas Interesting read about an interesting time in an interesting part of the US
I can‘t help but hear Tom Hardy‘s voice! “We control the fear...Without that fear, we are all as good as dead.”
This was my choice for cyberpunk and it was excellent. Would never have chosen this if it wasn‘t for the pop sugar challenge and I couldn‘t be more pleased. I can now watch the series without any guilt. A bit violent but very interesting
I love Roald Dahl‘s storytelling. This one is not my favorite. Still had me giggling though
This is a delightfully quick read. Enough science to be interesting but not too much to feel dumb. I haven‘t read The Martian but it is definitely at the top of my tbr. His writing sort of reminds me of Janet evanovich in the best possible way. Really funny
