"A witty rom-com reinvention ... with deeply relatable insights on family pressure and growing up. - Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka, authors of Always Never Yours and If Im Being Honest An adorable debut that updates a classic romantic trope with a buzzy twist." - Jenn Bennett, author of Alex, Approximately and Serious Moonlight A fresh, irresistible rom-com from debut author Emma Lord about the chances we take, the paths life can lead us on, and how love can be found in the opposite place you expected. Meet Pepper, swim team captain, chronic overachiever, and all-around perfectionist. Her family may be falling apart, but their massive fast-food chain is booming mainly thanks to Pepper, who is barely managing to juggle real life while secretly running Big League Burgers massive Twitter account. Enter Jack, class clown and constant thorn in Peppers side. When he isnt trying to duck out of his obscenely popular twins shadow, hes busy working in his familys deli. His relationship with the business that holds his future might be love/hate, but when Big League Burger steals his grandmas iconic grilled cheese recipe, hell do whatever it takes to take them down, one tweet at a time. Alls fair in love and cheese that is, until Pepper and Jacks spat turns into a viral Twitter war. Little do they know, while theyre publicly duking it out with snarky memes and retweet battles, theyre also falling for each other in real life on an anonymous chat app Jack built. As their relationship deepens and their online shenanigans escalate people on the internet are shipping them?? their battle gets more and more personal, until even these two rivals cant ignore they were destined for the most unexpected, awkward, all-the-feels romance that neither of them expected.

This is a fun take on a teenage rom-com. It has everything from Twitter fights, secret crushes, a class clown, and an overachiever. As Pepper and Jack fight it out on Twitter, their lives become more entwined than they realize. Pepper is stressed about getting into college but is bogged down with her family business‘s Twitter account. Jack, the class clown, just wants to create apps instead of running the family deli. Thanks NetGalley for the ARC

Still undecided if getting both of my new ARC shipments within the same week is a good thing or not. I could easily consider this the sign I need to hibernate for the winter and disappear with my spoils. I've already decided to quit reading all but one of my challenges for 2020 and simply read what I want for the year. #LibrarianLife #ARCS

Heatherfeather Whoa! (And I always agree you should read what you want 😁) 2mo

5/5

This is such a cute YA book about friendship and relationships. Pepper and Jack get their respective family businesses into a Twitter feud. Everything is made even more complicated by the fact that they've been taking anonymously to one another on an app Jack created for students at their school. It's a very sweet book, and I loved reading it.

Loved this! It was such a fun rom-com; so easy to read and perfect for a summer weekend. With witty writing, plausible mixups & teen angst, cute & quirky characters, and delicious dessert ideas, I zipped through this in one day.

Super sweet YA with fun twists throughout. My daughter is a HS senior, so I empathize for the pressures the main characters are going through in that time of life. Loved the dialogue between Pepper and Jack. #NetGalley
