A story about twin sisters who share half of their body since birth.
Their struggle, their happiness and daily life.
A coming of age story which will made you aw and cry a little bit.
You can read the whole 427 pages in one go because the chapters are short and the author used a different writing style. I would categorize it under YA but think that people who don‘t like the genre would also enjoy it.

A Cheesy, heartfelt, romantic book full of lovely characters.
About standing still in life and pushing your barriers so high because of being afraid to feel again and letting them down one after one.
A journey to find answers, closure and on the way founded friendships. .
I highly enjoyed it and absolutely recommend it. I loved the first 100 pages the most and all in all it was a great journey.

The book is based on the time around the Second World War and gives you, without getting too deep into, a short insight of the feelings of a family who struggle. The most touching of it all was the sons feeling- I think that the author intentionally let most of the emotions flow trough him and what it means to grow up in a time were you learn to honour - than hate what you had to honour and to grow upwith a stranger that calls himself your father.

A Manual for Heartache | Cathy Rentzenbrink

Finished it yesterday night and it is worth all five stars. I had so many sentences I just could agree with and found myself in the same situation once. A book for all kind of loss and grieve you are feeling and if you even don‘t feel it anymore it still is a gem to read and feel the comfort it gives...

The first two books of Murakami already promising and just had me til the last page.

Seine ersten beiden Bücher lassen schon erahnen, was für gute Geschichten von Murakami kommen werden und sein Vorwort fand ich klasse. Definitiv lesenswert!

Persuasion | Jane Austen

Pickpick

Persuasion is a great reflection of how society can influence your behaviour and typical Jane Austen Style she shows how much strength a woman can have trough Anne Elliot. Anne is the more silent character but still passionate and gentle. Splendid writing and a great plot...

Caraval is a page turner and til the end great to read. You never know what is real or just a game. The only point that I didn't need in the book was the love story but it doesn't really disturb the whole plot. If you are thinking about reading it, read it!

Did you read it?

Desire: Vintage Minis | Haruki Murakami

Desire is a short story collection of his already published works. It's a beautiful little book to gift someone (or yourself) with. Murakami's stories are strange, surreal, sometimes sad but always a joy to read...

Wish you all a beautiful weekend!

It's Eid (Ramadan Feast) on Sunday and I'm really excited about it. What are your plans for the weekend?

Not Another Happy Ending is a totally cute love story. I watched the movie first and had to buy the book afterwards. Will read it in the next weeks.

The Collector | John Fowles
post image
Pickpick

The Collector is a creepy, wonderful piece of postmodern literature which you don't want to drop til the end. You have the stalker Fred who kidnaps the woman of his "dreams" and thinks it's the only right thing he could have done. On the other side are the diary entries of Miranda and her thoughts of her kidnapper and her own life. Two so extreme different lives that get involved but couldn't be further from each other.
