I haven't had internet since I moved, and it's hobbling my social media. But I'm stil reading!

I keep forgetting I have Litsy, despite the icon being right by Goodreads on my phone. #whoops

I've been trying to educate myself on the countries and world events my conservative upbringing skewed or neglected.

This book is good, but I wish I had a physical copy with maps. It's hard for me to track so many foreign names in audio only.

The gauntlet has been thrown. We're moving cross country in a month, and I want to read half the books on my night stand by then, a total of 29 books.

My sister doesn't think I can do it. I regularly read 10+ per month, but that includes audio.

I've been reading faster than I can update my social media (23 books in May! That is a new record for me!), so I started a new blog just for reviews of everything I've been reading. A new, full length review goes up at least 3x a week, and I cover everything from YA to nonfiction, adult, mysteries, some kid lit, new releases, back list books, and more.

I adored this so much. It made me want to watch the movie again.

This book shows more of the emotional development of the relationship between Belle and Beast that was skimmed over in montage form in the original animated version, with an additional plot thrown in. It fits pretty seamlessly in with the movie.

Most of the complaints I've seen on Litsy about this book are about how it's written--it's a middle grade, so keep that in mind.

My best reading buddy has the cutest toe beans.

This is a historical fantasy novel w/ vampires & the Civil War. It should be a home run, but it reads like a very dry biography, and then we get to the sexism/racism.

Author completely erased Kate Warne from Baltimore plot against Lincoln. She uncovered the plot & saved Lincoln.

Also, it's apparently okay for vampires to eat slaves because they aren't really people, but when they become a stepping stone to eating whites, it's a problem.

I'm not sure how I feel about this book, but I'm already 60% done so I guess I'm finishing it...?

Just got sucked in here and lost an hour and a half. Whoops. Should I go work on one of my novels or just plow through the last 90 pages?

I'm one of those people who enjoy not just buying antique books, but also reading them! This one is from 1932 and isn't in Litsy's database (yet).

This one was a gut punch, but in many ways it was exactly what I needed.

Not my favorite graphic novel, much as I love Gambit. The story telling was very choppy.

I've been so bad about updating my Litsy, but I have been trying to get back in the habit of reading a bit every day. I always savor these illustrated editions, though. They're so pretty!

Every time I find a book narrated by Edward Herman, it feels like coming home.

I cannot give this book enough stars. It's an amazing piece of nonfiction and a must for anyone interested in the Victorian period.

Finally getting started on this.

Bast keeps hunting down and killing the Nazgul we made last year. I keep thinking they should have made hime a member of the Fellowship. Would have made the trip a lot more efficient.
