I made it 300 pages in and couldn't take it anymore. I couldn't sympathize with any of the characters.

This felt like it had a little more resolution than Tomine's previous collections. I really like the subtlety in his stories.
Attempting to tackle this beast. So far, so good
How can something be so fun, yet dark?! This is a graphic novel that confronts that feeling of being something other, of being labeled and misunderstood, all told with cute graphics and spunk.
It had its ups and downs, but overall was an interesting read. I found some of the chapters boring and I get the sense that Alex disguises a lot of her conniving as just being a "formless, lost girl." Maybe I'm morbid, but I was disappointed that more page time wasn't dedicated to the corpse guy.
I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about this book. I'm classifying it as a memoir, and Alex and I don't always agree. I don't know if I can trust her. I sympathize with her draw to the liminal, but is that impetuous enough?
This is one of the best writing books out there. I don't even like Stephen Kings fiction that much and I'm obsessed with this book.
I'm always comparing everything to House of Leaves.
You'll be surprised by how funny this still is.
This is in my top five. That's saying something.
Get your Christian iconography out of here. Also I read this in Spanish, which was tedious.
I was forced to read this in college and meet the man and his giant lying head and I hated it.
It didn't live up to my expectations, but I still enjoyed it.
Another one of my sad girl obsession accessories.
I read it for college. I wasn't impressed.
Sorry Obama. You're a decent dude, but this was boring.
I didn't like it as much as the first one, but can you blame me?
I studied under Martin in college and he was a great teacher, but this novel was not for me.
No. Bad. Even I, at 14, knew this was garbage.
Why won't you spill your soul to me, Bob? Tarantula was more revelatory.
This was my favorite in the series.
